John Hutton (died 9 November 1596), of Dry Drayton, Cambridgeshire, was an English politician. He was the son of Thomas Hutton of Dry Drayton. He was a Justice of the Peace for Cambridgeshire from c. 1559 and appointed High Sheriff of Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire for 1559–60 and 1574–75. He was a Member (MP) of the Parliament of England for Cambridgeshire in 1563, 1571 and 1572. He married twice: firstly Sybil, the daughter of Sir John Hynde and widow of Sir John Cutts; and secondly Elizabeth (daughter of William Laurence of St. Ives, Huntingdonshire). He had no children. His widow subsequently married William Hynde Sir William Hynde (c. 1558 – 28 March 1606), of Madingley, Cambridgeshire, was an English politician. John Hutton (physician)
John Hutton FRS (died 1712) was a Scottish physician and Member of Parliament. He was a native of Caerlaverock, Dumfriesshire, and in early life was a herd-boy to the local episcopalian minister, who ensured that he received a good education, studying medicine at Edinburgh and graduating M.D. at Padua. By chance he was the nearest doctor on hand when Princess Mary of Orange fell from her horse in 1686 and so impressed Prince William that the latter, after making diligent enquiries about Hutton's experience and character, appointed him his wife's physician. When William became king of England in 1689 he appointed Hutton the court physician on £400 p.a. , enabling his election as a fellow of the College of Physicians in 1690. He accompanied the king to Ireland, and was with him at the Battle of the Boyne and at the Siege of Limerick. Sir John Hutton (14 October 1841 – 31 May 1903) was a publisher and Chairman of the London County Council between 1892 and 1895. Career Hutton was a proprietor and publisher of various newspapers and journals, including the Eclipse, Sporting Life and the ABC Railway Guide. John Bower "Bouse" Hutton (October 24, 1877 – October 27, 1962) was a Canadian ice hockey goaltender who played for the Ottawa Hockey Club. Hutton also played lacrosse as a goaltender for the Ottawa Capitals, and Canadian football as a fullback for the Ottawa Rough Riders. Playing at the highest level of competition in each sport, Hutton won championships with all three teams. After his career as a player, Hutton was an ice hockey coach in Ottawa for several years. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1963. John Douglas Hutton (29 October 1898 – 2 January 1970) was a Scottish footballer who played as a right back for Aberdeen and Blackburn Rovers, and represented the Scotland national team in ten official internationals between 1923 and 1928. Career Hutton signed for Aberdeen after the First World War in 1919 and made his debut for the ''Dons'' in the same year; originally played at inside forward but switched to full-back. In the 1920s, he was Aberdeen's most-capped player with seven of his ten caps coming while he played for the club. John Leonard Hutton (born 6 May 1946) is an English former first-class cricketer. Early life and career Hutton was born to the Test cricketer and former England captain Len Hutton and his wife, Dorothy, at Pudsey in May 1946. He was educated at Repton School, captaining the school cricket team in 1964. Hutton played for the Yorkshire Second XI, but was unable to follow in the footsteps of his father and brother, Richard, who both played for Yorkshire at senior level. John Hutton (born 28 May 1966) is a former Australian rules football player in the Australian Football League with the Brisbane Bears, Sydney Swans and the Fremantle Football Club. Taken as #1 pick by Brisbane in the 1991 AFL Draft from the Claremont Football Club in Western Australia, Hutton was touted as being a highly talented full-forward prospect fresh from having completed a West Australian Football League where he won the Bernie Naylor Medal as the league's leading goalkicker with 100 goals. John Hutton (Clyde, New Zealand 8 August 1906 – 1978) was a New Zealand prominent glass engraving artist, who spent most of his career in the United Kingdom. Life Born in Clyde on the South Island of New Zealand in 1906, he married fellow artist Helen (Nell) Blair in 1934 and they made England their permanent home in 1936. They lived for a while in an artists' commune at Assington Hall in Suffolk. John worked on several mural commissions until the war broke out in 1939. During the war he joined a camouflage unit where he met and worked with the architect Basil Spence - a relationship which was to prove invaluable later on.
