John Hubbard Beecher
John Hubbard Beecher, ''also known as'' Little John Beecher (8 February 1927, Marshalltown, Iowa – 6 August 1987, Muscogee County, Georgia) was an American bandleader, jazz trumpeter and valve trombonist, and a singer of novelty songs. His band, Little John Beecher and his Orchestra, was active throughout the 1950s, and was booked by National Orchestra Service of Omaha, Nebraska. Before forming his own band, he played trumpet with Lee Williams. Marshalltown, Iowa
Marshalltown is a city in and the county seat of Marshall County, Iowa, United States, located along the Iowa River. It is the seat and most populous settlement of Marshall County and the 16th largest city in Iowa, with a population of 27,591 at the 2020 census. Marshalltown is home to the Iowa Veterans Home and Marshalltown Community College. History Henry Anson was the first European settler in what is now called Marshalltown. ''The American News'' is a newspaper in Aberdeen, South Dakota, published by Gannett of McLean, Virginia. It is published four days a week, Tuesday through Friday. History The ''Aberdeen News'' was founded as a weekly in 1885 by C.W. Starling and Paul Ware.
