John Hornaman
John R. Hornaman (born February 13, 1947) is a former Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 3rd District from 2007 through 2013. Hornaman attended McDowell High School and earned a degree in economics from Gannon University Prior to elective he worked as an agent for New York Life New York Life Insurance Company (NYLIC) is the third-largest life insurance company in the United States, the largest mutual life insurance company in the United States and is ranked #67 on the 2021 Fortune 500 list of the largest United State ... from 1972 through 1976. McDowell High School
McDowell High School is a public high school located in Millcreek Township, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Erie. It is the only high school in the Millcreek Township School District. The school's mascot is the Trojan. Students There are approximately 2,500 students attending McDowell High School. The McDowell campus consists of two buildings: McDowell Intermediate accommodating students in grades 9 and 10, and McDowell Senior accommodating grades 11 and 12. Erie County is a county in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It is the northernmost county in Pennsylvania. As of the 2020 census, the population was 270,876. Its county seat is Erie. The county was created in 1800 and later organized in 1803. Erie County comprises the Erie, PA Metropolitan Statistical Area. History Erie County was established on March 12, 1800 from part of Allegheny County, which absorbed the lands of the disputed Erie Triangle in 1792. Prior to 1792, the region was claimed by both New York and Pennsylvania and so no county demarcations were made until the federal government intervened. The 2006 elections for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives were held on November 7, 2006, with all districts being contested. Necessary primary elections were held on May 16, 2006. Members elected in 2006 were inaugurated on January 2, 2007. State Representatives are elected for two-year terms, with the entire House of Representatives up for a vote every two years. While initial results of the elections showed the Republicans holding onto a one-seat majority in the state house, the race in the 156th district in Chester County had only 19 votes separating the candidates. A further count of provisional ballots and absentee ballots gave the Democrats a victory in the 156th district by 23 votes.
