John Henry is an American folk hero. An African American, he is said to have worked as a "steel-driving man"—a man tasked with hammering a steel drill into rock to make holes for explosives to blast the rock in constructing a railroad tunnel. The story of John Henry is told in a classic blues folk song, which exists in many versions, and has been the subject of numerous stories, plays, books, and novels. Legend According to legend, John Henry's prowess as a steel driver was measured in a race against a steam-powered rock drilling machine, a race that he won only to die in victory with a hammer in hand as his heart gave out from stress. Jack Henry (born 29 August 1998) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted by Geelong with their first selection and sixteenth overall in the 2016 rookie draft. He made his debut in the one point loss to at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in round two of the 2018 season. In his sixth match, he recorded eighteen disposals, eleven marks (including five intercept marks), and three tackles in the sixty-one point win against in round seven to earn the round nomination for the 2018 AFL Rising Star. John Ruthell Henry (January 16, 1951 – June 18, 2014) was an American serial killer who was convicted for the 1985 murder of his second wife and stepson in Florida, a few years after being paroled for the 1975 murder of his first wife. After he was sentenced to death in three separate trials, Henry was executed for the latter murders at the Florida State Prison in 2014. Murders In August 1975, Henry, his 28-year-old common law wife Patricia Roddy, and her two daughters, two and three at the time, were driving around in Dade City. Professor John Anthony Henry (Born: 11 March 1939 at Greenwich, England, died 8 May 2007) was a professor specialising in toxicology in the Faculty of Medicine, Imperial College London, at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington. Henry was born in 1932 in Auckland, the son of former High Court judge, the Hon. Sir Trevor Henry.
