John Goodman (American Football)
John Richard Goodman (born November 21, 1958) is a former American football defensive end in the National Football League (NFL). Goodman played college football at Oklahoma for head coach Barry Switzer, and was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round of the 1980 NFL Draft. Personal life He currently resides in Edmond, Oklahoma. Goodman's daughter, Chelsea Goodman, attended Oklahoma as a high jumper. Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formation (American football), formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played. History Early formations, with six- and seven-man line defense, seven-man lines, used the end as a containment player, whose job was first to prevent an "end run" around his position, then secondarily to force plays inside. David Lane Johnson (born May 8, 1990) is an American football offensive tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL).
