John Gregory Foreman OAM (born 24 April 1972) is an Australian musician and television personality. In 1992, he joined the Network Ten team for '' Good Morning Australia with Bert Newton'', serving as Music Director until retiring in 2004. During 2003–2008 he was Musical Director of ''Australian Idol''. Early life Foreman was born to a Jewish family in Newcastle, New South Wales, and studied at Kotara High School in Newcastle, before moving to the Conservatorium High School and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Career Compositions and albums Foreman released ''No Jivin in 1993 on the BMG label which received an ARIA Award nomination for Best Jazz Album. John Foreman (footballer)
John James Foreman (6 October 1913 – 1964) was an English professional footballer who played as an outside right in the Football League for Sunderland, West Ham United, Bury and Swansea Town. Previously with Sunderland, Foreman joined Second Division club West Ham United for the 1934–35 season. He made his debut on 29 September 1934, a home win against Plymouth Argyle, and made 23 League and cup appearances in his first season, scoring 3 goals. He followed this up with 20 League appearances, and 4 goals, in his second season. After losing his place to Stan Foxall in 1936-37, he moved to Bury. Foreman played for Workington and South Shields, before joining Hartlepools United in 1939-40. Jonathan Mark Foreman (born October 22, 1976) is an American musician, the lead singer, guitarist, main songwriter and co-founder of the alternative rock band Switchfoot. He started Switchfoot in 1996 with drummer Chad Butler and his brother Tim Foreman on bass guitar. Jerome Fontamillas and Drew Shirley later joined the band. Personal life Foreman was born in San Bernardino County, California, but his family moved to Massachusetts and Virginia Beach during his childhood. There he became fast friends with Todd Cooper, who encouraged him to learn guitar. Cooper was later a guitar tech for Switchfoot, although he left in 2005 to pursue his own musical career. Jonathan Foreman (born 1965) is an Anglo-American journalist and film critic. Biography He is the son of Academy-Award winning screenwriter and film producer Carl Foreman (1914–1984), who moved to England to work after being blacklisted by Hollywood movie studio bosses during the hysteria of the McCarthy era. He is the elder brother of the best-selling biographer Amanda Foreman. Foreman was born in London and educated at St Paul's School. He then studied Modern History at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge.
