John Eshun
John Eshun (17 July 1942 – 6 November 2018) was a Ghana national football team, Ghana international Association football, football defender. Career Born in Sekondi, Eshun began playing club football for local sides Sekondi Wise Fighters, Sekondi Eleven Wise F.C. and Sekondi Hasaacas F.C. Eshun represented Ghana at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City and the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich. He also made several appearances for the senior Ghana national football team, including two FIFA World Cup qualifying matches, and he played at the 1968 African Cup of Nations, 1968 and 1970 African Cup of Nations finals. After Eshun retired from playing football, he became a coach. He managed Tema Youth, Ebusua Dwarfs. and Berekum Arsenal F.C., Berekum Arsenal. Sekondi
Sekondi-Takoradi is a city in Ghana comprising the twin cities of Sekondi and Takoradi. It is the capital of Sekondi – Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly and the Western Region of Ghana. Sekondi-Takoradi is the region's largest city and an industrial and commercial centre, with a population of 445,205 people (2012). 1968 African Cup Of Nations
The 1968 African Cup of Nations was the sixth edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, the soccer championship of Africa ( CAF). It was hosted by Ethiopia. The field expanded to eight teams, split into two groups of four; the top two teams in each group advanced to the semifinals.
