John Eriksson (born 8 January 1974, Hortlax (Piteå), Sweden) is a Swedish musician and composer best known as a founding member of Peter Bjorn and John. Career He was born in 1974 and raised in Hortlax (Piteå), Sweden. In 1994, he founded the percussion quartet Peaux, for which he was also a musician and composer. From 1995 to 1999, he was a musician in the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, performing in concerts and recordings with Esa-Pekka Salonen, Myung-Whun Chung, Herbert Blomstedt and Evgeny Svetlanov. He was also in a percussion/trumpet duo with Tora Thorslund, and in 1998 he was a marimba soloist during the Stockholm International Percussion Event. From 1999 to 2008, he was a musician, arranger and composer in the Kroumata Percussion Ensemble. John Leonard Eriksson (born 26 March 1921 in Hagfors – died 1 June 1995) was a Swedish mycologist. He specialized in crust fungi of the basidiomycetes, collecting in Sweden (especially in Muddus National Park, the Gothenburg region and Värnamo), Finland and Canada. Eriksson was a student of John Axel Nannfeldt and Seth Lundell, and defended his doctoral dissertation ''Studies in the Heterobasidiomycetes and Homobasidiomycetes-Aphyllophorales of Muddus National Park in Northern Sweden'' on the wood-associated fungal flora in Muddus National Park at Uppsala University in 1958. The opponent (similar to an external examiner) was the Dutch mycologist Marinus Donk. Eriksson was employed as a senior lecturer at the University of Gothenburg in 1961. John Rune "Jompa" Eriksson (12 March 1929 – 24 March 2020) was a Swedish footballer and manager who most notably played as a forward for Djurgårdens IF. A full international between 1951 and 1955, he won ten caps for the Sweden national team and scored nine goals. Club career Eriksson made his senior team debut for Värtans IK in 1948. He moved to Djurgården and made his debut in a 3–1 win against GAIS on 29 July 1951. With Djurgården, he won the Allsvenskan in 1954–55 and 1959. John Hartmann Eriksen (20 November 1957 – 12 February 2002) was a Danish footballer who played as a striker. He scored 319 league goals over the course of 15 seasons. He played in four countries, namely his native Denmark, the Netherlands, France and Switzerland. John Ericson (sometimes spelled Erickson; September 25, 1926 – May 3, 2020) was a German-American film and television actor known primarily for his co-star role with actress Anne Francis on the ABC television series ''Honey West'' in the 1965-66 season. Early life Ericson's parents were Ellen Wilson, a Swedish actress and operatic star, and Carl F. Meibes, who later became president of a New York food extract corporation. The family left Germany, reportedly to escape the rising Nazi regime, and came to the United States.
