John Eaves
John Eaves (born April 9, 1962) is a designer and illustrator best known for his work on the ''Star Trek'' franchise, starting with '' Star Trek V: The Final Frontier''. He served as a production illustrator on '' Star Trek: Deep Space Nine'' and ''Star Trek: Enterprise'' and was involved in all four '' Next Generation'' movies, specifically being responsible for the design of the ''Sovereign''-class ''Enterprise''-E. He also worked on a variety of films, such as ''Top Gun'', '' Terminator 2: Judgment Day'', ''Valkyrie'' and '' G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra''. Biography The first film Eaves worked on was ''Top Gun'', as a model maker. These included the F-14 Tomcat and Northrop F-5 models which were used for the special effects shots of the aircraft. Greg Jein
Greg Jein (born October 31, 1945 in Los Angeles, USA; died May 22, 2022) was a Chinese American model designer who created miniatures for use in the special effects portions of many films and television series, beginning in the 1970s. Jein was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects for his work on the films ''Close Encounters of the Third Kind'' (1977) and ''1941'' (1979), and also nominated for an Outstanding Special Visual Effects Emmy for his work on ''Angels in America''. ''Enterprise NX-01'' is a fictional spaceship that appears in the American science fiction television series ''Star Trek: Enterprise''. It had the in-universe registration of NX-01 and appeared earlier in the franchise timeline than any other Starfleet ship named ''Enterprise''. The ship is first seen in the pilot episode " Broken Bow" and was seen throughout the series undergoing various upgrades. The Boeing 747 is a large, long-range wide-body airliner designed and manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes in the United States between 1968 and 2022. After introducing the 707 in October 1958, Pan Am wanted a jet times its size, to reduce its seat cost by 30%. In 1965, Joe Sutter left the 737 development program to design the 747, the first twin-aisle airliner. In April 1966, Pan Am ordered 25 Boeing 747-100 aircraft and in late 1966, Pratt & Whitney agreed to develop the JT9D engine, a high-bypass turbofan. On September 30, 1968, the first 747 was rolled out of the custom-built Everett Plant, the world's largest building by volume. Herman Zimmerman
Herman F. Zimmerman (born 19 April 1935) is an art director and production designer. He is probably best known for his work on ''Star Trek''. Career Zimmerman initially aspired to be an actor and enrolled at Northwestern University to study acting and directing. He then changed his major to theatre production, in order to take an assistantship in technical theatre. Zimmerman then became an Associate Professor of Drama at Northwestern University for 5 years, where he was a Technical Director and Scene Designer for the university's theatre. Zimmerman began working for NBC in 1965, as an assistant art director on ''Days of Our Lives''.
