John Dyrby Paulsen
John Dyrby Paulsen (born 12 July 1963) is a Danish politician. He is a member of the party Social Democrats, and is the current mayor of Slagelse Municipality. He was elected mayor after the 2017 Danish local elections, though has been in the municipal council since 2014. Before that he sat in the Folketing under two different constituencies from 2006 to 2015. He also acted as a temporary member of parliament twice, first period between 10 March 2005 to 30 April 2005 and second period between 6 September 2005 to 6 February 2006. Slagelse Municipality
Slagelse Municipality is a municipality ( Danish: '' kommune'') in Region Zealand on the west coast of the island of Zealand (Danish: ''Sjælland'') in Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 571 km². The municipality borders Kalundborg Municipality to the north, Sorø Municipality to the north-east, Næstved Municipality to the south-east and connects to Nyborg Municipality via the Great Belt Bridge. The main city and the site of the municipal council is the city of Slagelse. The mayor has since 2017 been John Dyrby Paulsen, a member of the Social Democratic political party. Korsør Municipality
Until January 1, 2007 Korsør Municipality was a municipality (Danish: '' kommune'') in the former West Zealand County, on the southwestern coast of the island of Zealand, in eastern Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 74.25 km2, and had a total population of 20,873 (2006). Its last mayor was Flemming Erichsen, a member of the Social Democrats. Korsør Municipality bordered Skælskør Municipality to the south, Hashøj Municipality to the east and Slagelse Municipality to the north. It connected to Nyborg Municipality through the Great Belt ferries. To the west was the Great Belt (''Storebælt''), the strait that separates Zealand and the island of Funen peninsula. 2017 Danish Local Elections
The Danish local elections of 2017 were held on 21 November 2017 for Denmark's 98 municipal councils and five regional councils. All 2,432 seats were contested for the 2018–21 term of office, together with 205 seats (a fixed number of 41 seats in each council) in five regional councils. In the previous election, there were 2,444 seats in the municipal councils.
