Christ Analogue is an American industrial rock group started in 1995 by frontman and producer Wade Alin. History Christ Analogue was devised in 1995 by programmer/vocalist Wade Alin. After Markus Von Prause joined on guitar, the duo debuted with the single "This Shall Not Breathe" in 1994 and was compared favorably to Sister Machine Gun. The 1996 release of their debut album, '' The Texture ov Despise'', earned Christ Analogue instant respect in the electronic/industrial music scene. For an electronic-based act, they approached their live performances with an unusually aggressive, and often destructive punk ethic. This exciting live act helped them develop a strong following in the Seattle, WA, and Vancouver, BC, areas. In an effort to gain national recognition, the band booked and headlined their own tours of the United States. Christ Analogue did five national tours within two years, including shows with Sheep on Drugs, 16 Volt, Electric Hellfire Club, Stabbing Westward, Ins ...

Oxidizer
An oxidizing agent (also known as an oxidant, oxidizer, electron recipient, or electron acceptor) is a substance in a redox chemical reaction that gains or " accepts"/"receives" an electron from a (called the , , or ). In other words, an oxidizer is any substance that oxidizes another substance. The oxidation state, which describes the degree of loss of electrons, of the oxidizer decreases while that of the reductant increases; this is expressed by saying that oxidizers "undergo reduction" and "are reduced" while reducers "undergo oxidation" and "are oxidized". Common oxidizing agents are oxygen, hydrogen peroxide and the halogens. In one sense, an oxidizing agent is a chemical species that undergoes a chemical reaction in which it gains one or more electrons. In that sense, it is one component in an oxidation–reduction (redox) reaction. In the second sense, an oxidizing agent is a chemical species that transfers electronegative atoms, usually oxygen, to a substrate. Combust ...

East Side Militia
''East Side Militia'' is the second studio album by Chemlab, released on October 8, 1996 by Fifth Colvmn and Metal Blade Records. Its original title was supposed to be "Jesus Christ Porno Star" (which instead became the name of the second track of the album). It was re-released on November 30, 1999 by Martin Atkins' label Invisible Records with two additional tracks, "Vera Blue" remixed by PIG and "Exile on Mainline" remixed by haloblack. Composition ''East Side Militia'' showcases the bands further progression past the widespread use of metal guitars from the last release. The release also leans more towards an electronica and industrial style, with more distortion instrumentally and vocally, including softer melodic parts in the compositions. The song "Jesus Christ Porno Star", a riff on Andrew Lloyd Webber's play of the approximate same name, is an innuendic poke at the Christian religion. Reception ''Aiding & Abetting'' called ''East Side Militia'' laden with "raging beat ...

Pretty Hate Machine
''Pretty Hate Machine'' is the debut studio album by American industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails, released by TVT Records on October 20, 1989. Production of the record was handled by NIN frontman Trent Reznor and English producer Flood, among other contributors. The album features a heavily synth-driven electronic sound blended with industrial and rock elements. Much like the band's later work, the album's lyrics contain themes of angst, betrayal, and lovesickness. The record was promoted with the singles " Down in It", "Head Like a Hole", and "Sin", as well as the accompanying tour. A remastered edition was released in 2010. Although the record was successful, reaching No. 75 in the US and receiving highly favorable reviews from critics, Reznor (the band's only official member until 2016) feuded with TVT over promotion of the album, which led him to eventually sign with Interscope Records. ''Pretty Hate Machine'' was later certified triple-platinum by RIAA, becoming one of ...

GWAR
Gwar, often stylized as GWAR, is an American heavy metal band formed in Richmond, Virginia in 1984, composed of and operated by a frequently rotating line-up of musicians, artists and filmmakers collectively known as Slave Pit Inc. After the death of frontman and lead singer Dave Brockie in 2014, the group has continued without any of its founding members. Identified by their distinctively grotesque costumes, Gwar's core thematic and visual concept revolves around an elaborate science fiction-themed mythology which portrays the band members as barbaric interplanetary warriors, a narrative which serves as the basis for all of the band's albums, live shows and media. With over-the-top violent, sexual, and scatological humor typically incorporating social and political satire, Gwar has attracted both acclaim and controversy for its music and stage shows, the latter of which notoriously showcase enactments of graphic violence that result in the audience being sprayed with fake ...
