John Curran (Agatha Christie Expert)
John Curran is an Irish literary scholar and archivist, best known as an expert on the work of Dame Agatha Christie, English author of detective fiction and the world's bestselling novelist. He was born in Dublin and for years edited the Agatha Christie newsletter, subscriptions to which are handled through the author's official website. He wrote his doctoral thesis on Christie at Trinity College. He served as a National Trust consultant during the restoration of Christie's Devon residence, the Greenway Estate. With the assistance of Christie's grandson, Mathew Prichard, he has researched the author's personal archives and notebooks. Life and career Born in Utica, New York, Curran studied illustration and design at Syracuse University, then worked as an illustrator, graphic designer, and production designer in Manhattan before moving to Sydney, Australia in 1986. John Curran (born 17 June 1960) is a former Irish Fianna Fáil politician who served Chair of the Committee on Housing and Homelessness from 2016 to 2020 and a Minister of State from 2008 to 2011. He served as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Dublin Mid-West constituency from 2002 to 2011 and 2016 to 2020. A Global Threat (AGT) was an American punk rock band, formed in Bangor, Maine in 1997. They released four full-length albums as well as many 7-inch EPs and toured extensively throughout the United States. John Joseph Curran, (February 22, 1842 – October 1, 1909) was a Canadian politician and lawyer. He was the country's first Solicitor General between December 5, 1892 and October 17, 1895 and a member of the Conservative Party between February 8, 1883 and October 17, 1895. Life Born in Montreal, Canada East, Curran was one of eleven children born to Charles C. and Sarah Kennedy Curran. Charles was from County Down, Ireland, and Sarah from County Wexford. John attended Collège Ste-Marie and the University of Ottawa. He graduated from McGill Law School in 1862 and was appointed to the Bar of Quebec in 1863.
