John Baptist Crozier (8 April 1853 – 11 April 1920) was a Church of Ireland bishop. He served as Bishop of Ossory, Ferns and Leighlin (1897–1907), Bishop of Down, Connor and Dromore (1907–1911), Primate of All Ireland and Archbishop of Armagh (1911–1920). Early life John Baptist Crozier, eldest son of the Reverend Baptist Barton Crozier (1807-1878) and Catherine Mary Crozier (''née'' Bolland) of Rockview House, Knockfad, Ballyhaise, was born in the townland of Knockfad, Ballyhaise, County Cavan, on 8 April 1853. His paternal grandfather, John Crozier (–1814), was a member of a family long seated at Gortra House, between Magheraveely and Newtownbutler in the south-east of County Fermanagh, and his uncle was Captain John Crozier (1791-1852), an officer in the Fermanagh Militia and a Justice of the Peace. John Winthrop Crozier (10 December 1879 – 14 February 1966) was the ninth Bishop of Tuam, Killala and Achonry from 1939 to 1957. Crozier was born in Belfast, the son of Rev. John Baptist Crozier. Educated at Portora Royal School and Trinity College, Dublin and ordained in 1903, his first post was a curacy in Banbridge. He was later Rector of Celbridge, Vicar of St Ann's Dublin, a temporary chaplain to the Forces, Canon of Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin and finally (before his appointment to the episcopate) Archdeacon of Dublin. John Crozier (12 August 1814 – 21 April 1887) was a pastoralist of New South Wales and Victoria and a South Australian politician. History Crozier was born in Roxburgh, Scotland, and in 1838 emigrated in the ''Coromandel'' to New South Wales, where he had been appointed to manage the estate of Redesdale, in the Braidwood district, owned by Dr. Anderson, of Parramatta, and which was principally worked by assigned convicts. For three years he managed the Redesdale property, then from 1841 he managed the Sandhills station, not far from Bungendore and Lake George, in the Bathurst district for Captain Dobson, R.N. While there, he worked closely with John Henry Challis (died 29 February 1880), a member of the firm of Flower, Salting, & Co., who managed Captain Dobson's commercial interests in Sydney, and who bequeathed £100,000 to the Sydney University.
