John Coletti
O. John Coletti is an American automobile engineer. He worked for the American automaker Ford Motor Company in the company's performance division, and later was the COO and president of EcoMotors International until his retirement on March 15, 2013. He was responsible, as director of that company's Special Vehicle Team (SVT) group, for a number of special performance cars in the 1990s and 2000s, including the Ford Focus ''SVT'', ''SVT'' Contour, Ford F-150 ''Lightning'' and the Ford Mustang ''Cobra''. He later spearheaded development and production of the Ford GT supercar. Since retirement, he has been the managing director of Automotive Performance Partners. EcoMotors
EcoMotors was an American company developing and commercializing an opposed-piston opposed-cylinder (OPOC) engine for use in cars, light trucks, commercial vehicles, aerospace, marine, agriculture, auxiliary power units, generators, etc. This engine was promoted to significantly improve fuel efficiency, and substantially reduce production costs when compared to convententional internal combustion engines. Special Vehicle Team, also known as SVT, was an arm of Ford Motor Company responsible for the development of the company's performance car, highest-performance vehicles. Established in 1991, SVT was the successor to the Special Vehicle Operations, SVO division. The last SVT Director was Hermann Salenbauch. SVT was previously led by Hau Thai-Tang (2004–2007) and John Coletti (1993-2004). In 2015, Ford Racing, alongside Ford Team RS and Special Vehicle Team, merged into a global entity named Ford Performance. The Ford F-Series is a series of light-duty trucks marketed and manufactured by Ford since the 1948 model year.
