John Coffey (hurler)
John Coffey (14 January 1918 – 11 August 2019) was an Irish hurler. His league and championship career with the Tipperary senior spanned nine seasons from 1940 until 1948. As of 2018, he was one of only four All-Ireland hurling medallists to have become a centenarian. Coffey made his debut on the inter-county scene at the age of sixteen when he was selected for the Tipperary minor team. He enjoyed three championship seasons with the minor team, the highlight of which was the winning of an All-Ireland medal in his debut year in 1934. Coffey subsequently joined the Tipperary junior team and played without success between 1936 and 1940. By this stage he had also joined the Tipperary senior team, making his debut during the 1940 championship. Boherlahan–Dualla GAA
Boherlahan–Dualla GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club associated with the villages of Boherlahan and Dualla in County Tipperary, Ireland. The parish of Boherlahan–Dualla is a large parish in Tipperary, and Boherlahan-Dualla GAA club competes in the Mid-Tipperary Division. The Boherlahan–Dualla parish borders seven parishes from three separate divisions, Holycross–Ballycahill GAA and Moycarkey–Borris GAA to the north who play in the Mid-Tipperary division, to the west it borders Knockavilla–Donaskeigh Kickhams GAA, Clonoulty–Rossmore GAA, Golden–Kilfeacle GAA and Cashel King Cormacs GAA, all of whom play in the West Tipperary division, and to the east, Killenaule GAA who play in the South Tipperary division. The All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship 1945 was the 59th series of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, Ireland's premier hurling knock-out competition. Tipperary won the championship, beating Kilkenny 5-6 to 3-6 in the final. Format The All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was run on a provincial basis as usual. Johnny Everard
Johnny Everard (16 April 1924 – 25 May 2021) was an Irish hurler and Gaelic footballer who played for Tipperary Championship club Moyne-Templetuohy. He was a member of the Tipperary senior teams in both codes for the 1949-50 league-championship season. Following the death of John Coffey in August 2019, Everard became the oldest living All-Ireland medal winner and the oldest All-Ireland winner in Tipperary. Everard died on 25 May 2021, aged 97. Tommy Cooke
Thomas Francis Cooke (16 August 1914 – 13 February 2014) was an Irish hurler and Gaelic footballer who played as a left wing-back for the Limerick senior team. Born in Knockainey, County Limerick, Cooke first played competitive hurling whilst at school in Warrenstown College. He made his first impression on the inter-county scene at the age of twenty-four when he joined the Limerick junior teams as a dual player. He made his senior debut during the 1939 Oireachtas Cup. Cooke went on to play a key role for Limerick for a short period, and won one All-Ireland medal, one Munster medal and one Oireachtas Cup medal. At club level Cooke played both hurling and football with a number of local clubs including Knockainey, Knockane and Bulgaden. The Munster GAA Hurling Minor Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Electric Ireland Munster GAA Hurling Minor Championship) is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition for male players under the age of 17 in the province of Munster, and has been contested every year since the 1928 championship. The final, usually held on the first Sunday in July, serves as the culmination of a series of games played during May and June, and the results determine which team receives the TWA Cup. The 1934 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship was the seventh staging of the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928.
