John Clifton Wright
John C. Wright is an American author and pioneer of America's Great loop. Best known in the trades as Capt. John. His first documented voyage around the Loop was completed in 1971. He is best known for his books about living aboard and cruising America's Great Loop. His Best-Selling books include "The Looper's Companion Guide", "Looping by the Numbers", and "More Fun Than Fuel". His "The Looper's Companion Guide" earned him the Great Loop 2019 Book of the Year. Capt. John maintains a popular website about living aboard and cruising America's Great Loop. Terrell, Texas
Terrell is a city in Kaufman County, Texas, United States. As of the 2020 census, the city population was 17,465. Terrell is located about east of Dallas. History Terrell developed as a railroad town, beginning in 1873 with construction here of the Texas and Pacific Railroad line. The town was named for Robert A. Terrell, a pioneer European-American settler whose farm lay on its western edge. He built an octagonal house on his property, called a "Round House", to provide better defense against attacks by Native Americans. They had occupied this territory for thousands of years. His house was later fitted with the first glass windows in the county. The community was incorporated in 1875. The first automobile appeared in 1899.
