John Clerke (by 1476 – 22 March 1528), of Norwich, Norfolk, was an English politician. He was born a younger son of Gregory Clerke of Norwich. Norwich () is a cathedral city and district of Norfolk, England, of which it is the county town. Norwich is by the River Wensum, about north-east of London, north of Ipswich and east of Peterborough. As the seat of the See of Norwich, with one of the country's largest medieval cathedrals, it is the largest settlement and has the largest urban area in East Anglia. Norwich was a borough constituency in Norfolk which was represented in the House of Commons of England from 1298 to 1707, in the House of Commons of Great Britain from 1707 to 1800, and in the House of Commons of the United Kingdom from 1801 until it was abolished for the 1950 United Kingdom general election, 1950 general election. Consisting of the city of Norwich in Norfolk, it returned two members of parliament (MPs), elected by the Plurality-at-large voting, bloc vote system.
