John Buck (MP)
Sir John Buck or Sir John Bucke (c. 1566 – c. 1648) was an English landowner and politician who sat in the House of Commons in 1601. Bucke was the son of Francis Bucke of The Nash, Kempsey, Worcestershire and first cousin of George Wylde through their Wall grandparents. He matriculated at Magdalen Hall, Oxford under date 25 February 1581, aged 15. He entered Inner Temple in 1586. From 1591 he fought in the Netherlands campaign with the English army under Sir Francis Vere. The following year he was in charge of a company of infantry and fought with distinction notably at the Siege of Steenwijk. Taunton (UK Parliament Constituency)
Taunton was a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom and its predecessors from 1295 to 2010, taking its name from the town of Taunton in Somerset. Until 1918, it was a parliamentary borough, electing two Member of Parliaments (MPs) between 1295 and 1885 and one from 1885 to 1918; the name was then transferred to a county constituency, electing one MP. In the boundary changes that came into effect at the general election of 2010, the Boundary Commission for England replaced Taunton with a modified constituency called Taunton Deane, to reflect the district name. Johnathan Richard Buck (born July 7, 1980) is an American former professional baseball catcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Kansas City Royals, Toronto Blue Jays, Miami Marlins, Florida/Miami Marlins, New York Mets, Pittsburgh Pirates, Seattle Mariners and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. John Buck (Onondaga Politician)
John Buck (1893), titled Skanawati among other variants, was a leader of the Onondaga people, Onondaga who lived near Ontario's Grand River (Ontario), Grand River. He was the official keeper of the wampum records of the Iroquois, sometimes described as a firekeeper. He took on the role of wampum keeper in 1843. Buck was described in a contemporary account as "a capable ruler and an able and trustworthy negotiator". Kenyon and Kenyon identify him as a "follower of Handsome Lake". John R. (born John Richbourg, August 20, 1910 - February 15, 1986) was an American radio disc jockey who attained fame in the 1950s and 1960s for playing rhythm and blues music on Nashville radio station WLAC. He was also a notable record producer and artist manager. Richbourg was arguably the most popular and charismatic of the four announcers at WLAC who showcased popular African-American music in nightly programs from the late 1940s to the early 1970s. (The other three were Gene Nobles, Herman Grizzard, and Bill "Hoss" Allen.) John Kenneth Buck is chairman of Te Mata Estate winery and is widely recognised for his contributions to fine wine and the New Zealand wine industry. Career Buck was involved in wine judging in New Zealand and Australia for many years, beginning in 1969 after he published a book on the subject called ''Take a Little Wine''. In 1979, he became chairman of judges for the national wine show. He was the first New Zealander to hold this position. Buck was also chairman of the board of the Hawke's Bay Opera House and the patron of Cranford Hospice.
