John Brough (English Footballer)
John Robert Brough (born 8 January 1973) is an English former professional footballer who made more than 200 appearances in the Football League for Shrewsbury Town, Hereford United and Cheltenham Town as a centre back. He is currently manager of Cirencester Town. Playing career Brough spent seven years with Cheltenham after joining from Hereford United at the start of season 1998–99, at the same time as Neil Grayson and David Norton. Brough made 208 appearances for Cheltenham in those seven years, scoring 14 goals. A strong centre back, Brough often found himself deployed as a successful makeshift centre forward. Brough scored the first and played a part in the second of two injury time goals that gave Cheltenham a 2–1 away victory over title rivals Rushden & Diamonds in the 1998–99 season which saw promotion to the Football League. Ilkeston
Ilkeston is a town in the Borough of Erewash, Derbyshire, England, on the River Erewash, from which the borough takes its name, with a population at the 2011 census of 38,640. Its major industries, coal mining, iron working and lace making/textiles, have now all but disappeared. The town is close to both Derby and Nottingham and is near the M1 motorway and the border with Nottinghamshire. The eastern boundary of Ilkeston is only two miles from Nottingham's western edge and it is part of the Nottingham Urban Area. The National League of Professional Baseball Clubs, known simply as the National League (NL), is the older of two leagues constituting Major League Baseball (MLB) in the United States and Canada, and the world's oldest extant professional team sports league. Alex Sykes (born 2 April 1974) is an English football manager and former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He also played internationally for the England Futsal side. He is currently manager of Cinderford Town. Career Sykes was a product of the youth setups at both Hereford United and Mansfield Town. He had originally begun his career with Westfields who received a club record fee of £4,000 from Mansfield for his services in 1992. He made his senior debut for Mansfield in a Football League match against Walsall, scoring on his debut. Southern Football League
The Southern League is a men's football competition featuring semi-professional clubs from the South and Midlands of England. Together with the Isthmian League and the Northern Premier League it forms levels seven and eight of the English football league system. The structure of the Southern League has changed several times since its formation in 1894, and currently there are 84 clubs which are divided into four divisions. The Central and South Divisions are at step 3 of the National League System (NLS), and are feeder divisions, mainly to the National League South but also to the National League North. The Football League
The English Football League (EFL) is a league of professional football clubs from England and Wales. Founded in 1888 as the Football League, the league is the oldest such competition in the world. It was the top-level football league in England from its foundation until 1992, when the top 22 clubs split from it to form the Premier League.
