John Beck (footballer)
John Alexander Beck (born 25 May 1954) is an English former footballer and manager. As a player, he made nearly 500 English Football League appearances for five clubs between 1972 and 1989. As a manager, he had a highly successful spell in charge of Cambridge United in the early 1990s, when he guided the club to two successive promotions and two successive quarter-final appearances in the FA Cup. Beck took the club from the Fourth Division to the Second and very nearly to the new Premier League at the end of the 1991–92 season, where they ended their campaign fifth in the Second Division, their highest ever league finish.. In 2010, he was appointed manager of Conference National club Histon, but resigned two games into the 2010–11 season. Jim Blyth (footballer, Born 1955)
James Anton Blyth (born 2 February 1955) is a Scottish football goalkeeper and coach. He played for Preston North End, Coventry City, Hereford United, Birmingham City and Nuneaton Borough. Blyth also represented Scotland twice and was selected for their 1978 FIFA World Cup squad. He has since worked for Coventry City, Celtic and Middlesbrough as a goalkeeping coach. Playing career Blyth played for Coventry City from 1972 to 1982, making 151 league appearances. His ability led to a proposed £440,000 transfer to Manchester United in 1979 which failed to go through when he failed a medical on a suspect back. This move would have made him the world's most expensive goalkeeper. Bobby McDonald
Robert Wood McDonald (born 13 April 1955) is a former Scottish footballer, who played in the left back position. McDonald was a defender of great control and positional sense who also had a happy knack of scoring goals. He played for King Street Sports club in Aberdeen before joining Aston Villa in 1971, turning professional in September 1972. A Scottish youth international, he played in the 1972 Little World Cup when Frank Gray and Kenny Burns were among his contemporaries. After helping Villa to promotion to Division One in 1974-75 and picking up a 1975 League Cup Winners' medal, a £40,000 transfer took him to Coventry City. Graham Oakey (born 5 October 1954) is an English former footballer who made 88 Football League appearances for Coventry City. Oakey was a product of Coventry's youth development system. Tommy Hutchison
Thomas Hutchison (born 22 September 1947) is a Scottish former footballer who played as a midfielder. He made over 1,100 appearances, including 314 in the Football League alone for Coventry City, and more than 160 apiece in the competition for Blackpool and Swansea City (serving the latter as manager for a season before resuming as a player, which continued into his mid-40s), plus shorter spells in the United States and Hong Kong.
