John Allen, 3rd Viscount Allen (11 June 1713 – 25 May 1745), was an Irish peer and politician. He was the son of Joshua Allen, 2nd Viscount Allen. Allen was a member of parliament (MP) for Carysfort from 1733 until 1742, when he succeeded his father as Viscount Allen. In 1744, he was elected Grandmaster of the Grand Lodge of Ireland, a post he held for the next three years. He never married and, on his death, his titles passed to his cousin. John Sale (politician)
John Sale (c. 1675 – 7 July 1732) was an Irish politician of the 18th century. Biography Sale was born around 1675. A "John Sale" was Sheriff of County Dublin in 1705; this may have been the same man. He was a Doctor of Laws and later registrar of the Church of Ireland diocese of Dublin. He was elected to the Irish House of Commons in 1715 for the Carysfort borough and served there until his death in 1732. Family Sale married Ellinor Desminières, daughter of Robert Desminières, a Sligo merchant of Huguenot extraction. Thomas Southwell, 2nd Baron Southwell PC (Ire), FRS (7 January 1698 – 19 November 1766), styled The Honourable from 1717 until 1720, was an Irish peer, politician and freemason. Background He was the oldest son of Thomas Southwell, 1st Baron Southwell and his wife Lady Meliora Coningsby, eldest daughter of Thomas Coningsby, 1st Earl Coningsby. His uncles were William Southwell and Richard Southwell, his younger brother was Henry Southwell. In 1743, Southwell became Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Ireland, a position he held until the following year. Career In 1717, Southwell entered the Irish House of Commons for Limerick County, the same constituency his father had represented before, and sat for it until 1720, when he succeeded him also as baron. Sir Marmaduke Wyvill, 6th Baronet (1692–1754), of Constable Burton Hall, Yorkshire, was a British landowner and politician who sat in the House of Commons briefly from 1727 to 1728. Wyvill was the son of Sir Marmaduke Wyvill, 5th Baronet MP of Constable Burton, Yorkshire, and his wife Henrietta Maria Yarburgh, daughter of Sir Thomas Yarburgh of Balne Hall and Snaith, Yorkshire. He married Carey Coke, daughter of Edward Coke of Holkham, Norfolk in 1716. Wyvill stood unsuccessfully for Richmond in 1713 and 1715. At the 1722 British general election he was forbidden by his father to stand because Lord Sunderland disapproved. He succeeded his father to the baronetcy on 2 November1722.
