John Aeta
John Aeta (born 2 September 2000) is a Solomon Islands footballer who plays as a defender for Marist. He made his debut for the national team on June 25, 2017, in a 1–1 draw against Fiji. International U17's Aeta first international experience was with the Solomon Islands national under-17 football team. With the team he played at the 2017 OFC U-17 Championship where he served as the captain of the team. After a victory, a draw and a loss they managed to reach the semi-final. However, they lost the semi-final by three goals to two against New Caledonia. This meant that not the Solomon Islands but New Caledonia qualified for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup for the first time. Solomon Islands
Solomon Islands is an island country consisting of six major islands and over 900 smaller islands in Oceania, to the east of Papua New Guinea and north-west of Vanuatu. Christophe Gamel
Christophe Gamel (born 11 August 1972) is a French football coach who is currently head coach of Malaysia Super League club Sri Pahang FC. Coaching career Gamel played semi-professionally for various French and Italian clubs while coaching youth football teams. He has a pro licence from the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup
The 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup was the 17th FIFA U-17 World Cup, a biennial international football tournament contested by men's under-17 national teams. Organised by FIFA, the tournament took place in India between 6 and 28 October 2017, after the country was awarded the hosting rights on 5 December 2013. The tournament marked the first time India have hosted a FIFA tournament and the first Asian country to host U-17 World Cup since United Arab Emirates in 2013. The attendance for this World Cup was a record 1,347,133 surpassing China's record in 1985 with 1,230,976. 2017 OFC U-17 Championship
The 2017 OFC U-17 Championship was the 17th edition of the OFC U-17 Championship, the biennial international youth football tournament organized by the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) for players aged 17 and below. The tournament was held in Tahiti between 11 and 24 February 2017. In March 2015, FIFA decided that the OFC gets two slots at every FIFA U-20 and U-17 World Cup. So the top two teams qualified for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup in India. The Fiji national football team is Fiji's national men's team and is controlled by the governing body of football in Fiji, the Fiji Football Association.
