Johl Cameron Powell (born 6 June 2001) is an English footballer who plays as a midfielder. Career Charlton Athletic He made his debut for Charlton Athletic on 10 November 2020 in a 3–1 EFL Trophy victory over Leyton Orient. On 23 May 2022, it was announced that Powell was leaving Charlton Athletic at the end of his contract. Maidstone United (loan) On 22 February 2022, Powell joined Maidstone United on an initial month's loan. Dulwich Hamlet Following his release from Charlton Athletic Powell joined Dulwich Hamlet on 21 November 2022, making his debut off the bench in a 4-3 win against Cray Wanderers in the London Senior Cup on 30 November 2022 and scoring his first goal for the club in a 2-0 win against Weymouth in the National League South on 20 December 2022. Midfielder
A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders. As central midfielders often go across boundaries, with mobility and passing ability, they are often referred to as deep-lying midfielders, play-makers, box-to-box midfielders, or holding midfielders. The Football Association Challenge Cup, more commonly known as the FA Cup, is an annual knockout football competition in men's domestic English football. 2022–23 National League
The 2022–23 National League season, known as the Vanarama National League for sponsorship reasons, will be the eighth season under English football's new title of the National League, the twentieth season consisting of three divisions, and the forty-fourth season overall. This season sees the expansion of North and South divisions to 24 teams apiece, a planned increase which was originally scheduled in 2019 to occur ahead of the 2021–22 season. However, after the curtailment and voidance of the 2020–21 season for both North and South, promotion and relegation were postponed. The 2021–22 National League season, known as the Vanarama National League for sponsorship reasons, was the seventh season as English football's National League, the nineteenth season consisting of three divisions, and the forty-third season overall. Due to the curtailment of the preceding season for North and South and lower levels of competition in the English football pyramid, promotion and relegation between levels 5 and 6, and between level 6 and lower levels were suspended. These, combined with the folding of Macclesfield Town in 2020–21 and the knock-on effects of Bury's collapse in 2019–20, meant that for the 2021–22 season the three divisions had the irregular complement of 23, 22 and 21 teams, respectively.
