Johannes Hendriks
Johannes Willibrordus Maria "Jan" Hendriks is the current bishop of Roman Catholic Diocese of Haarlem-Amsterdam, appointed 1 June 2020. Biography Hendriks was born on November 17, 1954 in Leidschendam, in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rotterdam. He studied philosophy and theology at the Higher Institute of Theology in Amsterdam, Netherlands and at the major seminary of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Roermond in Rolduc, Netherlands. He was ordained a priest on September 27, 1979, for the Diocese of Rotterdam. From 1979 to 1981 he was the Deputy Rector in Den Haag, Netherlands. He then continued his studies at the Pontifical Gregorian University, obtaining his Doctorate in Canon Law ( J.C.D.). During this period, he lived at the Pontifical Dutch College. From 1987 to 1997, he was pastor in Haastrecht, Netherlands. Jan Hendriks (bisschop)
Jan Hendriks (6 December 1928 – 13 December 1991) was a German film actor. He appeared in more than 80 films on screen and TV between 1950 and 1985. In 1952 he won the German Film Award as Best Male Newcomer. Between 1977–1985 he co-starred in the TV-crime-serial ''The Old Fox''. He died in Berlin, Germany, aged 63. A pontifical ( la, pontificale) is a Christian liturgical book containing the liturgies that only a bishop may perform. Among the liturgies are those of the ordinal for the ordination and consecration of deacons, priests, and bishops to Holy Orders. While the ''Roman Pontifical'' and closely related '' Ceremonial of Bishops'' of the Roman Rite are the most common, pontificals exist in other liturgical traditions. History Pontificals in Latin Christianity first developed from sacramentaries by the 8th century. Jozef Marianus Punt
Jozef Marianus "Jos" Punt (born 10 January 1946) was the Roman Catholic bishop of Haarlem-Amsterdam in the Netherlands from 2001 to 2020. Early life Joseph Marianus Punt was born on 10 January 1946 in Alkmaar, North Holland, Netherlands. In his years as a student of economics in Amsterdam Punt distanced himself from the Catholic religion of his youth and was more involved in esotericism, gnosticism and Rosicrucianism. Upon discovering the Bible however, he began considering a career in the priesthood. He went to the south of the country where at the time there existed the only Catholic Dutch Seminary. The Dicastery for the Clergy, formerly named Congregation for the Clergy (; formerly the Sacred Congregation for the Clergy and Sacred Congregation of the Council), is the dicastery of the Roman Curia responsible for overseeing matters regarding priests and deacons not belonging to religious orders. Monsignor (; it, monsignore ) is an honorific form of address or title for certain male clergy members, usually members of the Roman Catholic Church. Monsignor is the apocopic form of the Italian ''monsignore'', meaning "my lord". "Monsignor" can be abbreviated as Mons... or Msgr.
