Johanne Plesner
Plesner is a Norwegian family of Danish extraction, noted for its association with playwright Henrik Ibsen. Many descendants of the family have occupied prominent positions in Norwegian society. History Johan Glüsing Plesner (1703–1735) from Kerteminde in Denmark migrated to Skien in Norway around 1720, where he became a merchant. He was a son of merchant Bendix Jens Plesner (died 1708) and Anna Dorthe Bager (died 1748) of Kerteminde, and was married to Karen Cathrine Hind, a daughter of Kerteminde's mayor (rådmand) Knud Pedersen Hind. Johan was the father of merchant Knud Plesner (1731–1790), married to Marie Roll (1741–1786). Henrik Ibsen cites the family as one of the patrician families of Skien. Henrik Ibsen
Henrik Johan Ibsen (; ; 20 March 1828 – 23 May 1906) was a Norwegian playwright and theatre director. As one of the founders of modernism in theatre, Ibsen is often referred to as "the father of realism" and one of the most influential playwrights of his time. Ibsen is a Norwegian family of Danish extraction. Its most famous members are playwright Henrik Ibsen, his son, statesman Sigurd Ibsen, and grandson, pioneer film director Tancred Ibsen. Ole Paus (factory Owner)
Ole Paus (24 October 1846 in Skien – 20 March 1931 at Bygdøy, Aker) was a Norwegian iron and steel industrialist and Chairman of the commercial bank Den norske Creditbank (now DNB ASA). He was a first cousin of Henrik Ibsen. Career He attended the Latin School in his native Skien and studied in Lübeck. He lived for several years in Germany and the United Kingdom, until he settled in Bygdøy, Aker. He founded the iron and steel wholesale company Ole Paus in 1872 and the factory A/S Den norske Hesteskosømfabrik in 1883. He was chairman of the Norwegian Iron Industry Association from 1910 to 1918. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Den norske Creditbank, one of Norway's leading commercial banks, from 1897, and became the bank's Chairman in 1903. Beate Karoline Bille (born 17 November 1976) is a Danish actress and member of the Bille noble family. About She has received a Shooting Star Award at the 2006 Berlin International Film Festival. Irene Ibsen Bille
Irene Ibsen Bille (10 September 1901 – 22 February 1985) (née Irene Ibsen) was a Norwegian novelist and playwright. She was born in Kristiania as a daughter of Prime Minister Sigurd Ibsen. She was a sister of Tancred Ibsen, paternal granddaughter of world-famous writer Henrik Ibsen and Suzannah Ibsen (née Thoresen), daughter of Bergliot Ibsen (née Bjørnson) and maternal granddaughter of Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson and Karoline Bjørnson (née Reimers). Irene Ibsen married Danish writer Steen Andersen Josias Christopher Bille (called Josias), a member of the ancient noble Bille family, in 1930, and moved to Denmark. Tancred Ibsen (11 July 1893 – 4 December 1978) was a Norwegian military officer, aviator, film director and screenwriter. Background Ibsen was the son of Sigurd Ibsen and Bergljot Bjørnson. Sigurd Ibsen (23 December 1859 – 14 April 1930) was a Norwegian author, lawyer and statesman, who served as the prime minister of Norway in Stockholm (1903–1905) and played a central role in the dissolution of the union between Norway and Sweden in 1905. Christopher Blom Paus (8 October 1810 – 28 October 1898) was a Norwegian shipowner, merchant and banker. Biography Paus was born at the estate Rising Nordre in Gjerpen, Norway. Christian Cornelius Paus (18 October 1800 – 8 April 1879) was a Norwegian lawyer, civil servant and politician. He was Governor of Bratsberg (now Telemark) and a Member of the Norwegian Parliament.
