Johanna Hagström
Karin Johanna Hagström (born 27 March 1998) is a Swedish cross-country skier. Hagström made her World Cup debut in January 2017 and scored her first podium in Cogne, Italy, in February 2019, by finishing third in the freestyle sprint competition. In 2021, she participated in the World Championships in Oberstdorf, finishing fourth in the individual sprint. Falköping
Falköping () is a locality and the seat of Falköping Municipality in Västra Götaland County, Sweden. It had 16,350 inhabitants in 2010. History The town of Falköping was first spoken of in the Icelandic ''Rimbegla'' (around 1100 A.D.), and is mentioned in the Westrogothic law. It was also an important site of pilgrimage due to its 12th-century church dedicated to Saint Olaf (''Sankt Olofs kyrka''). The town was heading for a shut-down during the 16th century and was even burnt to the ground by the Danish during the Northern Seven Years' War. However the town survived and was rebuilt. FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2021
The 42nd FIS Nordic World Ski Championships were held from 24 February to 7 March 2021 in Oberstdorf, Germany. It was the third time that the World Championships have been held in Oberstdorf, having previously hosted the event in 1987 and 2005. Russia doping ban On 9 December 2019, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) banned Russia from all international sport for a period of four years, after the Russian government was found to have tampered with laboratory data that it provided to WADA in January 2019 as a condition of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency being reinstated. As a result of the ban, WADA plans to allow individually cleared Russian athletes to take part in the 2021–2022 World Championships and 2022 Winter Olympics under a neutral banner, as instigated at the 2018 Winter Olympics, but they will not be permitted to compete in team sports. The 43rd FIS Nordic World Ski Championships were held from 21 February to 5 March 2023 in Planica, Slovenia. Championships Slovenia hosted the Nordic World Championships for the first time. All competitions took place at the Planica Nordic Centre, located in the Planica monument valley. Host selection The World Championships were awarded at the 51st Fédération Internationale de Ski, FIS Congress, held between 13 and 19 May 2018 in Costa Navarino, Greece. Planica's bids to host the championships had been unsuccessful on three previous occasions. The detailed application had to be submitted by 1 September 2017.
