Johan Zeier Cappelen
Johan Zeier Cappelen (18 December 1913 – 16 September 2007) was a Norwegian jurist and ambassador. He was born in Vang, Hedmark as a son of Hans Blom Cappelen (1879–1965) and a brother of Andreas Zeier Cappelen. The brothers were members of Mot Dag in the 1930s. He served as Norwegian ambassador to Brazil from 1960 to 1962, Iceland from 1962 to 1965 and Yugoslavia from 1970. In the latter post he also had ambassador credentials to Bulgaria and from 1971 to Albania. He was a board member of , a predecessor of Norad, from 1965 to 1969. Vang, Hedmark
Vang is a former municipality in the old Hedmark county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1992 when it became part of Hamar Municipality. The administrative centre of the municipality was at Fredvang. This site, however became part of the town of Hamar in 1946, so after that time, the municipal administration was actually located outside the municipal borders in the neighboring municipality. The main church for the municipality was Vang Church in the village of Ridabu. Gåsbu Ski Center lies in Vang Almenning, and has served as the backup venue for the ''Holmenkollrennene''. This arena has been described as the cradle of all Nordic ski competition, with more than 112 years of international ski competition. The national cross-country skiing championship was last held here in 2002. Andreas Zeier Cappelen (31 January 1915 – 2 September 2008) was a Norwegian jurist and politician for the Labour Party. He was born in Vang, Hedmark. He held a variety of positions in different Norwegian cabinets. He was Minister of Local Government Affairs in 1958–1963 in the third cabinet Gerhardsen, Minister of Finance in 1963 and 1963–1965 only interrupted by the short-lived cabinet Lyng, Minister of Foreign Affairs in the first cabinet Bratteli in 1971–1972, and finally Minister of Justice 1979–1980 in the cabinet Nordli.
