Johan Widing Heiberg Landmark
Johan Widing Heiberg Landmark (12 April 1802 – 16 November 1878) was a Norwegian jurist and politician. Personal life He was born in Gloppen to Nils Landmark and Barbra Henriette Rantzau Heiberg. His uncle Andreas Landmark was notable as a politician, and his grandfather had migrated to Norway from Sweden. In 1824 he married Dorthea Margrethe Finde Heiberg, his mother's niece. Career Like his father, he studied law, graduating as cand.jur. in 1826. Gloppen
Gloppen is a municipality in the county of Vestland, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Nordfjord. Gloppen is generally subdivided into three areas: Hyen in the west, Gloppen in the center, and Breim in the east. Each of the areas have their own main service centres. Sandane, the administrative centre of the municipality, is the largest with about 2,500 inhabitants. Sandane, Vereide, and Sørstranda are centered on the Gloppefjorden in Gloppen in the central part of the municipality. The villages of Byrkjelo, Re, Kandal, and Egge are centered on the lake Breimsvatnet in the Breim area in the east. Andreas Landmark (14 April 1769 – 2 December 1839) was a Norwegian politician and civil servant. Biography Personal life He was born in Christiania to Nils Svensson – a weaver from Värmland, Sweden – and Karen Andersdatter Killerud. His brother was Nils Landmark. Contrary to some sources, he was not born with the name Landmark, but some of the children took the name as adults. Landmark grew up with an uncle in Aurskog. He married Jacobine Caroline Wind (1733–1833). They had nine children, although at least one died young. Fjaler is a municipality in the county of Vestland, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Sunnfjord. The administrative centre is the village of Dale. Other places in Fjaler include Espedal, Flekke, Folkestad, Guddal, and Hellevika. Fjaler was the birthplace of famous Norwegian poet Jakob Sande. Balestrand
Balestrand is a former municipality in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. It was located on the northern shore of the Sognefjorden in the traditional district of Sogn. The administrative center was the village of Balestrand. Other villages in the municipality included Ese, Kvamme, Låne, Sæle, Tjugum, and Vetlefjorden.
