Johan Martin Jakobsen Strand
Johan Martin Jakobsen Strand (10 October 1873 – 17 August 1935) was a Norwegian farmer and politician for the Liberal Party. Career He was born in Kvernes as a son of farmer Jacob Jakobsen Strand (1835–1875) and his wife Ellen Johanne Larsdatter (1841–1930). He took his education at the Higher College of Agriculture at Aas from 1899 to 1901. He ran an agricultural school from 1903 to 1911, and was county agronomist in Møre from 1906 to 1907. In 1907 the school was located to Bremsnes, and Strand moved here in 1908. He was a member of Bremsnes municipal council from 1916 to 1934, serving as deputy mayor between 1919 and 1928. He was also the director of the local savings bank. From 1930 to 1935 he was a board member of the Bank of Norway branch in Kristiansund. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from the constituency Møre on four occasions; in 1924, 1927, 1930 and 1933. Storting
The Storting ( no, Stortinget ) (lit. the Great Thing) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. The unicameral parliament has 169 members and is elected every four years based on party-list proportional representation in nineteen multi-seat constituencies. A member of Stortinget is known in Norwegian as a ''stortingsrepresentant'', literally "Storting representative". The assembly is led by a president and, since 2009, five vice presidents: the presidium. The members are allocated to twelve standing committees as well as four procedural committees. Finn Blakstad
Finn Blakstad (15 January 1865 – 24 January 1941) was a Norwegian farmer and politician for the Conservative Party. Personal life He was born at Blakstad farm in Asker as a son of Erik Jørgensen Blakstad (1827–1890) and his wife Laura Gabrielsen (1832–1868). Finn Blakstad was also a brother of Wilhelm and Ragnvald Blakstad, a first cousin of Torger, Wilhelm and Bernt Holtsmark and an uncle of Gudolf Blakstad. In 1890 he married Marie Johanne Fleischer (1863–1928), a daughter of Mancin Fleischer and Ulrikke Antoinette Alette Stoltenberg. They had the son Leiv Blakstad, a landowner and politician. Gabriel Endresen Moseid (10 October 1882 – 4 August 1961) was a Norwegian politician for the Farmers' Party. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Vest-Agder in 1922, and was re-elected on seven occasions. He had previously served as a deputy representative during the term 1919–1921. On the local level, Moseid was a member of Vennesla municipality council from 1910 to 1922, serving the last term as mayor. Originally a member of the Liberal Party, he eventually joined the Farmers' Party who broke out of the Liberal Party in 1922. He sat on the national board of the Farmers' Party from 1922 to 1947. Nils Hjelmtveit (21 July 1892–30 October 1985) was a Norwegian educator and politician for the Labour Party. He was mayor of Stokken, MP from 1925 to 1930, Minister of Education and Church Affairs from 1935 to 1945 and County Governor of Aust-Agder from 1945 to 1961.
