Johan Didrik Af Wingård
Johan Didrik af Wingård (né Wingård; 14 November 1778 - 21 February 1854) was a Swedish statesman, military official and illustrator who served as the first Swedish Minister of Finance from 1840 to 1842 and Chief of the Artillery Staff from 1813 to 1814. Early life Johan af Wingård was born 14 November 1778 in Stockholm, Sweden, a late son of the statesman Johan Wingård and noblewomen Fredrika af Darelli. His older brother, Archbishop Carl Fredrik af Wingård, was also a Lord of the Realm. In 1793, he enrolled as a student of Uppsala University, studying state affairs, military affairs and theology. Hochwohlgeboren (, "High Well-born"; ) is an honorific and manner of address for members of the nobility in some parts of Europe. German This form of address originally had connections with the ability of a '' Freiherr'' (Baron) to bequeath a family coat of arms and to hold landed property as allodial instead of a fief. The actual address is ''Euer Hochwohlgeboren'' ("Your High Well-born") and is the correct form of address not only German '' Freiherren'' but also '' Ritter'' and '' Edle''. The title should not be confused with ''(Euer) Hochgeboren''. Göta Artillery Regiment
The Göta Artillery Regiment (), designation A 2, was a Swedish Army artillery regiment that traced its origins back to the 17th century. It was disbanded in 1962. The regiment's soldiers were originally recruited from Götaland, and it was also garrisoned there. History The regiment has its origins in the Artillery Regiment, raised in 1636. That regiment was split into four new regiments in 1794 of which Göta Artillery Regiment was one. The regiment was given the designation A 2 (2nd Artillery Regiment) in 1830. In 1893 four companies were split off to form Norrland Artillery Regiment and Karlsborg Artillery Corps. The regiment also changed name to 1st Göta Artillery Regiment (''Första Göta artilleriregemente'') in 1893, and another two companies were split off to form Småland Artillery Regiment in 1895. ''Svensk uppslagsbok'' is a Swedish encyclopedia published between 1929 and 1955, in two editions. First edition The first edition was started in 1929 by ''Baltiska förlaget AB'', but publishing was taken over by ''Svensk uppslagsbok AB'' in 1931. This edition consisted of 30 volumes and one supplement volume, and was completed in 1937. The articles in ''Svensk uppslagsbok'' were written by subject matter experts and signed. On the market, it competed with '' Nordisk familjebok'' in its third, condensed edition (1923–1937), and it aimed at being affordable for a large audience. Second edition A second, completely revised edition was published between 1947 and 1955, and consisted of 32 volumes. Project Runeberg () is a digital cultural archive initiative that publishes free electronic versions of books significant to the culture and history of the Nordic countries. Patterned after Project Gutenberg, it was founded by Lars Aronsson and colleagues at Linköping University and began archiving Nordic-language literature in December 1992. (, 'Nordic Family Book') is a Swedish language, Swedish encyclopedia that was published in print from between 1876 and 1993, and that is now fully available in digital form via Project Runeberg at Linköping University. The public domain editions of the encyclopedia remain important reference works in Finland, especially on Finnish Wikipedia. History First edition began when Halmstad publisher hired an editor, linguist , in 1874 to publish a six-volume encyclopedia. Linder drew up a plan for the work, designed the editorial team and created a large circle of experts and literary figures, who submitted article proposals and wrote and reviewed them. Under Linder's direction, the articles were then edited to make them as formal, consistent and accurate as possible. Karlstad (, ) is the 20th-largest city in Sweden, the seat of Karlstad Municipality, the capital of Värmland County, and the largest city in the province Värmland in Sweden. Carl Fredrik Af Wingård
Carl Fredrik af Wingård (born 26 September 1781 in Stockholm, died 19 September 1851) was a Sweden, Swedish Lutheran archbishop of the Church of Sweden, Professor at Uppsala University, and politician. He served as Archbishop of Uppsala 1839–1851. He was also holder of seat 10 in the Swedish Academy. Biography His noble title (''af'') was added to his family name Wingård already in 1799, as he was the son of a bishop, Johan Wingård, who became his predecessor in the Diocese of Gothenburg. He was cousin to the poet Johan Börjesson. Af Wingård studied at the Uppsala University and eventually became professor there in 1810. In 1818 he was ordained priest and 8 July 1818 he became bishop of Gothenburg.
