Johan Brun
Johan Brun (19 October 1922 – 27 April 2021) was a Norwegian photographer. Personal life Brun was born in Uvdal on 19 October 1922, a son of farmer Henrik Natvig Brun and schoolteacher Brita Bøckmann. In 1954 he married Ingrid Eliassen (born 1931). Career Brun worked as photographer for the newspaper ''Dagbladet'' from 1948. He became known for his sports pictures, and later, nature pictures. His books include ''Kapp til Kapp'' (with Richard Papes; 1956) and ''Vassfaret'' (1969; with Per Hohle), and he illustrated a series of historical books by Vera Henriksen Vera Margrethe Henriksen (née Roscher Lund; 22 March 1927 – 23 May 2016) was a Norwegian novelist, playwright, and non-fiction writer. Uvdal
Uvdal is a village and former municipality in Buskerud county, Norway. It is situated in the traditional region of Numedal and is the location of the Uvdal Stave Church. The municipality was created by a split from Nore on 1 January 1901. The new municipality, which was called Opdal at the time, had a population of 1,429. The name was changed to Uvdal on 22 January 1932 by royal resolution. In 1937, a part of Uvdal with 220 inhabitants was moved to Hol municipality. is the largest Norwegian biographical encyclopedia. The first edition (NBL1) was issued between 1921 and 1983, including 19 volumes and 5,100 articles. Vera Henriksen
Vera Margrethe Henriksen (née Roscher Lund; 22 March 1927 – 23 May 2016) was a Norwegian novelist, playwright, and non-fiction writer. She was particularly known for her historical novels and plays set in the Middle Ages. Biography Vera Margrethe Roscher Lund was born in Oslo and lived there until 1940, when she moved to Arendal. Her father was military officer, later Colonel Ragnvald Alfred Roscher Lund (1899–1975), the first commander of the Norwegian Military Intelligence Service, head of the Norwegian High Command's office FO II in exile in London during World War II. In 1944, she had to flee Norway during the Occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany. She continued her secondary education at the Norwegian gymnasium in Uppsala, Sweden, and graduated in 1945. The following year she traveled to the United States where her family lived in New Jersey. She studied architecture at Yale University from 1946 to 1948.
