Johan Arnt Wenaas
Johan Arnt Wenaas (16 May 1941 – 28 July 2015) was a Norwegian priest. He was born in Hægebostad, and took the cand.theol. degree at the MF Norwegian School of Theology in 1966. He was ordained as a priest in 1967, worked as a curate in Jeløy from 1968 to 1974, and priest at Lovisenberg Hospital from 1974 to 1980. He was superintendent and director of the Deaconess House (now: Lovisenberg Diaconal University College) from 1980 to 1992 and secretary-general of the Social Service of the Church of Norway from 1992 to 2008. He released multiple books. He died in July 2015 in Hvitsten. Hægebostad
Hægebostad is a municipality in Agder county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Lister. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Tingvatn. Other villages in Hægebostad include Eiken, Haddeland, and Snartemo. The municipality encompasses the northern end of the Lyngdalen valley which follows the river Lygna. The Sørlandet Line railroad runs through the municipality from east to west, stopping at Snartemo Station in Snartemo. To get into and out of the valley in which Hægebostad is located, the trains must go through two of the longest railway tunnels in Norway: Hægebostad Tunnel and Kvineshei Tunnel. The municipality is the 215th largest by area out of the 356 municipalities in Norway. Hægebostad is the 295th most populous municipality in Norway with a population of 1,704. Jeløy
Jeløy (until 1920 named ''Moss herred'' - ''Moss rural district'') was a former municipality in Østfold county, Norway. Jeløy was established as a municipality January 1, 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). It was merged with the urban municipality of Moss on July 1, 1943. The old municipality consisted of the Jeløya peninsula/island as well as the mainland rural district surrounding Moss city. Today we use both the name, Jeløy and Jeløya for the island in Moss.
