Joey Mazzarino
Joseph Mazzarino (; born June 4, 1968) is an American actor, puppeteer, writer and director. He is best known for his roles on ''Sesame Street'' as Murray Monster, Stinky the Stinkweed and other Muppets, and being Head Writer and Director on ''Sesame Street'', winning 22 Emmy Awards for his work. Career Former Muppet performer Camille Bonora influenced Mazzarino when she taught an improvisation class at his university, and eventually introduced him to Jim Henson. Mazzarino later became the head writer for ''Sesame Street'' and also worked on ''The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland'', ''Muppets from Space'', and ''Kermit's Swamp Years''. When Mazzarino auditioned for ''Sesame Street'', he wrote a sketch called "Colambo" and soon found himself cast in the title role. ''Jack's Big Music Show'' is an American musical children's television series produced for the Noggin channel. It was created and executive produced by David Rudman, Todd Hannert, and Adam Rudman through their company Spiffy Pictures. The main character is a young puppet musician named Jack who has a musical clubhouse in his backyard. The premiere episode was simulcast on both Noggin and its sister channel, Nickelodeon, on September 12, 2005. The show ran for two seasons and 26 episodes in total, which finished airing on October 13, 2007. The popularity of the show made the idea of appearing on it attractive to musicians. ''Eureeka's Castle'' is an American children's television series created by Debby Beece and Judy Katschke. It originally aired on Nickelodeon's Nick Jr. block from September 4, 1989 to November 10, 1991. The program featured various puppet characters who live in a giant's wind-up music box. ''Elmo's World'' is a segment that is shown at the end of the long-running American children's television program ''Sesame Street'' which premiered on November 16th, 1998, as part of a broader structural change to the show. It originally lasted fifteen minutes at the end of each episode. The segment ran until 2009, and then returned in 2017. The segment was designed to appeal to younger viewers and to increase ratings, which had fallen in the past decade. The segment is presented from the perspective of a three-year-old child as represented by its host, the Muppet Elmo, performed by Kevin Clash in the original series and Ryan Dillon in the 2017 reboot. ''Donkey Hodie'' is an American Puppet live action musical preschool television series created by David and Adam Rudman for PBS Kids, and was aimed for preschoolers ages 3 to 5. Inspired by characters created by Fred Rogers, the series premiered May 3, 2021 and is the second spinoff of Rogers' television series ''Mister Rogers' Neighborhood'' after ''Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood''. The show consists primarily of live action performances, interspersed with Muppet segments, courtesy of Jim Henson Productions.
