Joeri Pool
Joeri Pool (born 22 February 1993) is a Dutch politician of the Party for Freedom (PVV). He was a member of the Provincial Council of Overijssel from 2019 to 2023 and has been a member of the House of Representatives since 6 December 2023. He is currently the PVV's spokesman on defense and national security. Biography Early life and education Pool was born in Zwolle in 1993. He attended the Koninklijke Militaire Academie (Royal Military Academy) in Breda on an army officer training course before studying a bachelor's degree in history and then a master's degree in political science at the Utrecht University. After graduating he worked within the IT sector. Political career Pool worked as a senior policy officer for the PVV's parliamentary faction and was elected to the Provincial Council of Overijssel in 2019. The House of Representatives (, pronounced ; commonly referred to as the ', literally "Second Chamber of the States General") is the lower house of the bicameral parliament of the Netherlands, the States General, the other one being the Senate. It has 150 seats, which are filled through elections using party-list proportional representation. Generally, the house is located in the Binnenhof in The Hague, however, it has temporarily moved to the former building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at Bezuidenhoutseweg 67 in the Hague while the Binnenhof is being renovated. List Of Party For Freedom Candidates In The 2023 Dutch General Election
For the 22 November 2023 Dutch general election, 26 electoral lists were successfully submitted, totalling 1,126 candidates. The 150 seats were awarded to party lists, with candidates over the preference threshold awarded a seat first if available and the other seats awarded based on position on the list. The preference threshold for this election was 17,388 votes (25% of the electoral threshold). One candidate would have not been elected based on position on the list, but received enough preference votes: Daniëlle Hirsch ( GroenLinks-PvdA). Replacements are also asked based on position on the list. '' Nederlandse Omroep Stichting'' published an analysis of the top 20 candidates for the 18 lists that (sometimes) received seats in polling. 61% of these candidates were male, 38% female and 1% non-binary. 2021 Dutch General Election
General elections were held in the Netherlands from 15 to 17 March 2021 to elect all 150 members of the House of Representatives. Following the elections and lengthy coalition formation talks, the sitting government remained in power. The election had originally been scheduled to take place on 17 March; however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the government decided to open some polling stations two days in advance to ensure safe voting for elderly and immunocompromised citizens. Raymond De Roon
Raymond de Roon (born 1 September 1952 in Amsterdam) is a Dutch politician and former prosecutor. As a member of the Party for Freedom (Partij voor de Vrijheid) he has been an MP since 30 November 2006. He focuses on matters of foreign policy, military operations and the European Union. In the 2006 general elections De Roon was third on the party list and in the 2010 general elections he was fourth. Biography De Roon studied law at VU University Amsterdam and Leiden University. Afterwards, he was employed by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 1983 he was deputy prosecutor in Leeuwarden.
