Joel Ekman
Stone Sour is an American rock band formed in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1992. The band performed for five years before disbanding in 1997. They reunited in 2000 and since 2015, the group has consisted of Corey Taylor (lead vocals, guitar), Josh Rand (guitar), Christian Martucci (guitar), Johny Chow (bass) and Roy Mayorga (drums). Longtime members Joel Ekman (drums, percussion) and Shawn Economaki (bass guitar) left the band in 2006 and 2011, respectively. Former lead guitarist Jim Root left in 2014. The band has been on an indefinite hiatus since 2020. To date, Stone Sour has released six studio albums: '' Stone Sour'' (2002); ''Come What(ever) May'' (2006); ''Audio Secrecy'' (2010); '' House of Gold & Bones – Part 1'' (2012); '' House of Gold & Bones – Part 2'' (2013) and ''Hydrograd'' (2017). John Mark Bechtel (born February 1, 1972) is an American musician and artist. He is currently the bassist for the rock band Stone Sour. He is a former bassist for the bands Cavalera Conspiracy, Souls of We, Fireball Ministry, My Ruin, Cortez, Systematic, Maximum Penalty, Echo 3, Pry, and Zero Tolerance. "Get Inside" is a song by Stone Sour, and the first music video the band released. It came out in 2002 for the band's eponymous album, almost a decade after the band was first created. It is notable that this is one of the few occasions where guitarist Josh Rand plays lead guitar, instead of his usual position as rhythm guitarist. ''Come What(ever) May'' is the second studio album by American rock band Stone Sour, released on August 1, 2006, by Roadrunner Records. It was recorded and produced by Nick Raskulinecz and the band at Studio 606 in Los Angeles, California. Writing for the album began as early as 2003 when vocalist Corey Taylor and guitarist James Root were writing material for their other band, Slipknot. In January 2006, Stone Sour began recording their second album, during which time drummer Joel Ekman left the band because of family constraints.
