Joe Wong (comedian)
Joe Wong (, born February 16, 1970) is a Chinese American biochemist and comedian. Background He was born in Baishan, Jilin, China, into an ethnic Korean family. His ancestors had emigrated from Korea three generations previously. He graduated from Jilin University and studied a master's degree at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, before he went to further study chemistry at Rice University in Texas in 1994. He graduated from Rice in 2000 with a PhD in Biochemistry. Career Wong moved to Boston in 2001 and began to perform his comedy at All Asia Bar, at Stash's Comedy Jam. Although he had won numerous awards, he did not attract American nationwide attention until after his appearance on ''Late Show with David Letterman'' on April 17, 2009. His multiple appearances on TV, courtesy of Ellen DeGeneres, boosted his reputation further. Joe Wong (American Football)
Joseph Hau'oli L. Wong (born February 24, 1976) is a former American football offensive lineman of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the seventh round of the 1999 NFL Draft. He played college football at Brigham Young University Cougars football, Brigham Young after transferring from Hawaii Rainbow Warriors football, Hawaii. Wong was also a member of the Philadelphia Eagles and Oakland Raiders. After his playing career, he became a head coach at his alma mater, Kailua High School, leading them to the 2019 Oahu Interscholastic Association, OAI Division I title. Joseph Wong Wing-ping GBS, JP ( Hong Kong language: 王永平; born 25 July 1948) was the Secretary for Education Department, Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology and the Secretary for the Civil Service in Hong Kong. Wong completed his secondary school education at Wah Yan College, Hong Kong, an eminent all-male Roman Catholic Jesuit school in Hong Kong. He graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 1969. He also attended a one-year postgraduate course at the University of Oxford in 1974 and an eight-week Executive Program at Stanford University in 1989. Joseph Yu Kai Wong () is a Canadian physician and philanthropist. He founded the Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care in 1987. He served as the chairman for the United Way of Greater Toronto from 1990 to 1992 and has been honorary chair since 1994. Joey Kawika Wong (born April 12, 1988) is an American former professional baseball infielder who played internationally for the Chinese national baseball team in 2017, and is currently a coach at Oregon State University. He was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 24th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball draft. Playing career Amateur Wong attended Sprague High School in Salem, Oregon, and Oregon State University.
