Joe Shaw (actor)
Joseph Nicholas Shaw (born 15 November 1972) is an English former actor, turned director and filmmaker. He began his career as an actor, best known for his roles as Dominic McCallister in '' Bad Girls'' and DC Scott Granger in ''Murder Investigation Team''. Since 2010, he has worked as a director and filmmaker. Life and career Joseph Nicholas Shaw was born on 15 November 1972 in Islington, London. He is the son of actor Martin Shaw and his wife Jill (' Allen), his siblings Luke and Sophie are also actors. He trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art but left in 1996 to play the role of a young Cecil Rhodes in ''Rhodes''. He went on to appear in films such as ''Kull the Conqueror'' and ''The House of Angelo'' before landing the role of prison officer Dominic McCallister in the ITV drama '' Bad Girls'' in 1999 and appeared in two series. Islington () is a district in the north of Greater London, England, and part of the London Borough of Islington. The Inspector Lynley Mysteries
''The Inspector Lynley Mysteries'' is a British crime drama television series that aired on BBC One from 12 March 2001 to 1 June 2008, consisting of six series and 24 episodes. The protagonist, Detective Inspector Thomas "Tommy" Lynley, 8th Earl of Asherton (Nathaniel Parker), who is assigned to Scotland Yard, finds himself paired with Detective Sergeant Barbara Havers (Sharon Small). In addition to the tensions involved in solving murder cases, the series is built on clashes of personality, gender and class: Lynley is a polished man and a peer of the realm, and Havers is an untidy woman from a working-class background.
