Joe Scannella
Joseph I. Scannella (May 22, 1928 – May 3, 2018) was an American football player and coach of American and Canadian football. Playing career Scannella played quarterback at Lehigh University from 1947 to 1949. Coaching career Scannella began his coaching career as an assistant at Clifton High School in Clifton, New Jersey. His first head coaching job was at Oceanside High School in Oceanside, New York. He was the Sailors head coach from 1955 to 1959 before becoming the ends coach at Cornell University. He left Cornell after one season to become head coach at Baldwin High School. In 1964, he was hired by C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University to serve as head football coach and athletic director. In four seasons with the Pioneers he had a 19–15–2 record. John Madden (American Football)
John Earl Madden (April 10, 1936 – December 28, 2021) was an American football coach and sports commentator in the National Football League (NFL). He served as the head coach of the Oakland Raiders from 1969 to 1978, who he led to eight playoff appearances, seven division titles, seven AFL / AFC Championship Game appearances, and the franchise's first Super Bowl title in Super Bowl XI. Never having a losing season, Madden holds the highest winning percentage among NFL head coaches who coached 100 games. An offensive coordinator is a member of the coaching staff of an American football or Canadian football team who is in charge of the team's offense. Generally, along with the defensive coordinator and the special teams coordinator, this coach represents the second level of coaching structure after the head coach. The offensive coordinator is in charge of the team's offensive game plan, and typically calls offensive plays during the game, although some offensive-minded head coaches also handle play-calling.
