Joe Rugolo
Joe Rugolo (born 2 September 1965) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL) during the 1980s. Rugolo was an Assumption College recruit and spent three seasons with Melbourne. His brother Frank was on the Melbourne list at the same time but they never played a game together. A ruckman, Rugolo played with Sandringham after leaving Melbourne. In 1992, a premiership year, he won a J. J. Liston Trophy, having narrowly missed out on it the previous two seasons. Assumption College, Kilmore
Assumption College (often known as ACK, where the K stands for Kilmore) is an Australian Catholic co-educational secondary day and boarding school. The school is located in the town of Kilmore, Victoria. The College was founded in 1893 by the Marist Brothers and is part of a network of Marist schools in Australia and throughout the world. Assumption College first took in boarders 1901 to meet the educational needs of Catholic families throughout regional Victoria and southern New South Wales. Established initially as a boys' school primarily accepting boarders, the proportion of day students has progressively grown since the 1970s and boarding numbers have diminished. Sandringham Football Club
The Sandringham Football Club, nicknamed The Zebras, is an Australian rules football club based in Melbourne which was formed in 1929 and plays in the Victorian Football League (VFL) which was formerly called the Victorian Football Association (VFA). Australian football, also called Australian rules football or Aussie rules, or more simply football or footy, is a contact sport played between two teams of 18 players on an oval field, often a modified cricket ground. Points are scored by kicking the oval ball between the central goal posts (worth six points), or between a central and outer post (worth one point, otherwise known as a "behind"). Frank Rugolo
Francesco "Frank" Rugolo (born 5 September 1963) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL). He later played in the Victorian Football Association for Sandringham. He was the leading goalkicker of the 1991 home-and-away season with 78 goals, before finishing second overall after the finals.
