Joe Molloy
Joseph Anthony Molloy (born March 13, 1961 in Tampa, Florida) is the former managing general partner of the New York Yankees from 1988 to 1998. He served as acting owner during the suspension of George Steinbrenner from 1992 to 1993. Biography Molloy attended St. Lawrence Catholic School and Tampa Catholic High School in Tampa, Florida. He attended a seminary for six months after high school. After deciding against clergyhood, Molloy obtained his college degree and became a science and physical education teacher at St. Lawrence. He also coached the school's basketball team. Molloy married Jessica Steinbrenner, daughter of George Steinbrenner, the owner of the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball (MLB).
