Joe Maskey
Joseph Maskey (born 1998) is an Irish hurler who plays for Antrim Championship club St. Enda's and at inter-county level with the Antrim senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a wing-back. Career A dual player with the St. Enda's club in Glengormley, Maskey was a key member of the club's senior Gaelic football team that lost the 2019 All-Ireland Intermediate Club Football final to Kilcummin. He has also won Ulster Club Championship titles in both codes. Maskey made his first appearance on the inter-county scene as a member of the Antrim minor team that won the Ulster Minor Championship titles in 2015, before later winning an Ulster Under-21 Championship title in 2016. He made his debut with the Antrim senior hurling team in 2017. Since then he has won one Joe McDonagh Cup title, an Ulster Championship title and two National League Division 2A titles. Ulster Senior Hurling Championship
The Ulster GAA Hurling Senior Championship, known simply as the Ulster Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Ulster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition in the province of Ulster, and has been contested every year since the 1901 championship. The final, usually held in July, serves as the culmination of a series of games played during June, and the results determine which team receives the Liam Harvey Cup. The championship has always been played on a straight knockout basis whereby once a team loses they are eliminated from the championship. In 2016, a two-tier format began. Four teams compete in the Ulster Senior Hurling Championship, and four in the Ulster Senior Hurling Shield. The 2015 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship was the 85th staging of the All-Ireland hurling championship for players under the age of eighteen since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928. 2016 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship
The 2016 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship was the 53rd staging of the All-Ireland inter-county championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1964. The championship began on 25 May 2016 and ended on 10 September 2016. Limerick entered the championship as the defending champions. They were beaten by Tipperary in the Munster semi-final. On 10 September 2016 Waterford won the championship following a 5-15 to 0-14 defeat of Galway in the All-Ireland final. This was their second All-Ireland title and their first in 24 championship seasons. Format Leinster, Munster and Ulster each organise a provincial under-21 championship. The 2020 National Hurling League was the 89th season of the National Hurling League for county teams. Division 1 was restructured in 2020 into two groups of approximately equal strength. The league was originally scheduled to end on 29 March 2020. The public health measures introduced to combat the COVID-19 pandemic in Ireland resulted in most of the final stages being delayed to October and the Division 1 final stage being reduced from five games to one. Eir Sport and RTÉ provide live TV coverage of the league on Saturday nights. TG4 broadcast Sunday afternoon games. The 2020 Joe McDonagh Cup was the third staging of the Joe McDonagh Cup since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 2018. The competition was initially scheduled to begin on 10 May 2020 and end on 29 June 2020. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Gaelic games, the first-round games were delayed until 25 October 2020. Laois, the 2019 champions, were promoted to the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship, while Offaly were relegated to the Christy Ring Cup. Meath and Carlow entered the cup. On 13 December 2020, Antrim won the Joe McDonagh Cup after a 0–22 to 1–17 win over Kerry in the final at Croke Park. It was their first ever title. The 2017 Ulster Senior Hurling Championship was the 69th staging of the Ulster hurling championship since its establishment by the Ulster Council in 1901. The tournament was moved to April, instead of the usual June/July dates, in order to accommodate the various tiers of the All-Ireland championship. Antrim won a sixteenth consecutive title. Ulster Intermediate Club Football Championship
The Ulster Intermediate Club Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football tournament played between the hundreds of intermediate football clubs in Ulster. There are nine county championships between the nine counties of Ulster. The nine winners go on to play each other in the Ulster Club Championship in a knock-out format. The winners go on to compete with the Connacht, Leinster, Munster and London champions in the All-Ireland Intermediate Club Football Championship.
