Joe Hills (arena Football)
Joseph Hills (born October 2, 1987) is an American football wide receiver who is currently a free agent. He played college football at South Carolina from 2007 to 2008 before transferring to Tennessee State. Early life Hills attended Palmetto High School in Palmetto, Florida. There, he was a standout member of the football team being ranked as the No. 27 recruit at the wide receiver position. Hills committed to the University of South Carolina on November 17, 2006. Hills chose South Carolina over football scholarships from Georgia, Louisville, LSU, Ole Miss, & Nebraska. College career Hills played two seasons for the South Carolina Gamecocks of the University of South Carolina. He played in 13 games, starting 3 games, for the Gamecocks, recording 11 receptions for 87 yards and one touchdown. After the 2008 season, Hills transferred to Tennessee State University. 2017 Arena Football League Season
The 2017 Arena Football League season was the 30th season in the history of the Arena Football League (AFL). Prior to the start of the season, the league contracted to five teams. Due to this, for the first time since 1991, the league was not divided into conferences or divisions. The 14-game regular season began on April 7, 2017, when the two new teams, the Baltimore Brigade and the Washington Valor, faced off in the Verizon Center, and ended on August 5, 2017, when the Tampa Bay Storm lost against the Philadelphia Soul. Georgia Bulldogs Football
The Georgia Bulldogs football program represents the University of Georgia in the sport of American football. The South Carolina Gamecocks football program represents the University of South Carolina. The Gamecocks compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference. American football (referred to simply as football in the United States and Canada), also known as gridiron, is a team sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end. Reception (American Football)
In gridiron football, a reception, also known informally as a catch, is part of a passing play in which a player in bounds successfully catches (receives) a forward pass thrown from a friendly quarterback behind the line of scrimmage. After making the catch, the receiver will then proceed to run towards the opposing end zone carrying the ball and try to score a touchdown, unless the play ends due to him being downed or forced out of bounds. Yardage gained from the passing play are credited to the catcher as his receiving yards. If the pass is not caught by anyone, it is called an incomplete pass or simply an "incompletion".
