Joe Green (born 16 December 1995) is an English professional football goalkeeper who plays for Northern Premier League club Ossett United Early life As a teenager, Green attended Penistone Grammar School near Barnsley. Career Youth After being released by Sheffield United as a youth player, Green had unsuccessful trials with Scunthorpe United and Doncaster Rovers. Having failed to secure a professional deal in England, in 2015, Green moved to the US to join the college football programme at Monroe College in New York City, cancelling his place on a bricklaying apprenticeship with Bellway Homes after two weeks. He played four times for the college team, the Monroe Mustangs, before returning to England after becoming unsatisfied with the standard of the football. John Sheridan (footballer)
John Joseph Sheridan (born 1 October 1964) is an Irish football former football player and manager who was last head coach of National League club Oldham Athletic. A midfielder, he began his playing career with Manchester City and then moved to Leeds United, where he scored 47 league goals in 230 appearances. He played for Nottingham Forest briefly, under the management of Brian Clough, and then joined Sheffield Wednesday, for whom he scored the winning goal in the 1991 Football League Cup Final at Wembley Stadium. Near the end of his time with the club, he played for Birmingham City and Bolton Wanderers on loan before joining the latter permanently. Sheridan made 199 league appearances for Wednesday and scored 25 goals. He won the First Division title with Bolton in 1997. Mark Geoffrey Crossley (born 16 June 1969) is a football coach and former professional footballer. As a player, he was a goalkeeper from 1988 until 2011 and he has previously played for numerous clubs in England's top flight, notably for Nottingham Forest, where he became the only goalkeeper to stop a Matt Le Tissier penalty kick. He has also played for Manchester United, Millwall, Middlesbrough, Stoke City, Fulham, Sheffield Wednesday, Oldham Athletic and Chesterfield. He earned three caps for the England U21 team, but opted to switch allegiance to Wales and received eight full international caps between 1997 and 2004.
