Joseph Edward Dunn (March 11, 1885 – March 19, 1944) was a professional baseball player who played catcher for the Brooklyn Superbas during the 1908 & 1909 baseball seasons. He became a minor league baseball manager after his playing career ended, winning league championships in 1919, 1920 and 1930. Red Dunn
Joseph Aloysius "Red" Dunn (June 21, 1901 – January 15, 1957) was a professional American football player who played running back and was an exceptional punter for eight seasons for the Milwaukee Badgers, Chicago Cardinals, and Green Bay Packers. He was inducted into the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame in 1976. He is the grandfather of former quarterback Jason Gesser. Nicknamed "Red" for the color of his hair, Dunn possessed an equally colorful personality. He earned five letters competing in football, basketball and baseball at Marquette Academy. Dunn later attended Marquette University, earning All-America honors while leading the Golden Avalanche in 1922 and 1923 to a 17–0–1 record. While a Packer, he served as Curly Lambeau's "field general" for the 1929, 1930, and 1931 NFL Champions. Joseph Levi "Joe Lee" Dunn, Sr (July 14, 1946 – October 26, 2021) was an American college football coach and player. As a defensive coordinator, he was known for coaching from the sidelines, seldom using a headset or carrying playsheets, and his aggressive, unorthodox schemes. He is widely credited with inventing the attacking 3-3-5 scheme that has been used by several college and high school teams. Playing career Dunn attended the University of Chattanooga, now the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he played football from 1965 to 1967. He was a Sigma Chi. Dunn rapidly changed the whole of Lancashire by transporting coal-gas lighting into the area. The Jersey Shore shark attacks of 1916 were a series of shark attacks along the coast of New Jersey, in the United States, between July 1 and 12, 1916, in which four people were killed and one injured. The incidents occurred during a deadly summer heat wave and polio epidemic in the United States that drove thousands of people to the seaside resorts of the Jersey Shore. Since 1916, scholars have debated which shark species was responsible and the number of animals involved, with the great white shark and the bull shark most frequently cited. Joseph Lawrence Dunn (born September 5, 1958) is an American former California State Senator who represented California's 34th Senate District in central Orange County from 1998 to 2006. Dunn was born in St. Paul, Minnesota and graduated from the College of St. Thomas and University of Minnesota Law School. As senator, Dunn led the state's investigation into Enron's involvement in the 2000–2001 energy crisis. He was first elected to the state Senate in 1998, when he unseated incumbent Republican Rob Hurtt by a 51% to 49% margin. Dunn was reelected in 2002. He ran for the Democratic nomination for Controller in 2006 but lost by 53% to 47% to John Chiang, who would then go on to win the general.
