Joe Dahl
Joe Dahl (born April 9, 1993) is an American football guard who is a free agent. He played college football at Washington State. He was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. College career After graduating from University High School and spending one year at the University of Montana and another sitting out as a transfer student, Dahl stepped into the starting lineup for Washington State and stayed there for the next three years. He started at left guard in 2013 before moving out to left tackle for their bowl game. He stayed at left tackle the next two seasons. He earned first-team All-Pac-12 and ''USA Today'' second-team All-American accolades at left tackle in 2015. Guard (gridiron Football)
In gridiron football, a guard (G), otherwise known as an offensive guard (OG), is a player who lines up between the center (American football), center and the offensive tackle, tackles on the offensive line of a football team on the line of scrimmage used primarily for Blocking (American football), blocking. Right guards (RG) is the term for the guards on the right of the offensive line, while left guards (LG) are on the left side. Guards are to the right or left of the center. The guard's job is to protect the quarterback from the incoming defensive line, linemen during pass plays, as well as creating openings (holes) for the running backs to head through. University High School (Washington)
University High School, often referred to as "U-Hi" or "U-High", is a public high school for grades nine through twelve in Spokane Valley, Washington, United States. It is part of the Central Valley School District in Spokane Valley. In late 2002, the school campus moved approximately to its current location. The current building is capable of housing around 1650 students. Because of the growing number of students attending, U-High is no longer accepting additional students, and many of the teachers must trade classrooms during the day.
