Joe Cooper (kicker)
Joseph Donald Cooper (born October 30, 1960) is a former American football placekicker who played two seasons in the National Football League with the Houston Oilers and New York Giants. Joe played college football at the University of California, Berkeley and attended Bullard High School in Fresno, California. Placekicker, or simply kicker (PK or K), is the player in gridiron football who is responsible for the kicking duties of field goals and extra points. In many cases, the placekicker also serves as the team's kickoff specialist or punter. Specialized role The kicker initially was not a specialized role.
