Joe Chindamo
Joe Chindamo (born 1961) is an Australian composer and pianist. Career He recorded an album with violinist Zoë Black in 2012. It was followed by ''Dido's Lament'' and ''The New Goldberg Variations''. In 2014, Chindamo's string quartet Tempesta was commissioned and performed by the Acacia Quartet and by the Australian String Quartet on their national tour in 2016. His ''Toccata for Solo Violin'', commissioned by Australian violinist Sarah Curro, was performed by Ann Marie Johnson at the ABC Young Performers' Awards and recorded by Zoe Black for their album ''Symbiosis'' in 2017. In 2014 two of his ''Baroque'' re-imaginings for string orchestra were performed by ACO Collective. Zoë Black
Zoë Black is an Australian violin player. She plays with Australian Chamber Orchestra and is a recitalist and soloist. Black has worked extensively with pianist and composer Joe Chindamo. Together they were nominated for the 2014 and 2016 ARIA Awards for Best Classical Album for their albums ''Dido's Lament'' and ''The New Goldberg Variations''. In 2011 Chindamo, Black and friends (Daniel Farrugia, Philip Rex, Sarah Curro, Caroline Henbest and Josephine Vains) released ''Hush collection. Janet Seidel
Janet Seidel (28 May 1955 – 7 August 2017) was an Australian jazz vocalist and pianist. Education Seidel studied at the Elder Conservatorium at the University of Adelaide (BMusic, 1973–1976). Career She worked as a high school music teacher in New South Wales at the Sydney Girls High School and as a professional musician as a pianist and singer. From 1976 to 1980, she was an active member of the Adelaide Feminist Theatre Group. For their first show, ''The Carolina Chisel Show'' (1976), she wrote the piano arrangements. For the musical melodrama ''The Redheads' Revenge'' (1978), she wrote and arranged all the songs, conducted and played in the orchestra and was also involved in the writing, production and direction of the show. The 2020 AIR Awards was the fourteenth annual Australian Independent Record Labels Association Music Awards ceremony (generally known as the AIR Awards). It took place on 1 October 2020 in Adelaide. The nominations were revealed on 7 July 2020, consisting of sixteen categories, up four from twelve, as was the case in 2019.
