Joe Chan
Joe Chan (born 10 March 2002) is a French professional rugby league footballer who plays as a forward for the Melbourne Storm in the National Rugby League (NRL). He previously played for Catalans Dragons in the Super League and Saint-Esteve in the Elite One Championship. Background Chan is of Chinese-Māori heritage and is the son of former New Zealand international Alex Chan and brother of Tiaki Chan. He played his junior rugby league for St Clair Comets, before moving to Catalans Dragons. Chan is first cousins with Penrith Panthers centre Jesse McLean. Career In 2021 he made his Catalans debut in the Challenge Cup against the Warrington Wolves. On 22 April 2022 he signed a two year contract to play for the Melbourne Storm for the 2023 and 2024 seasons. The 2023 Melbourne Storm season was the 26th in Melbourne Storm, the club's history, competing in the 2023 NRL season. The team was coached by Craig Bellamy (rugby league), Craig Bellamy, coaching the club for his 21st consecutive season. Melbourne Storm were captained by Christian Welch who was captain for the second consecutive season. The Brisbane Tigers are a rugby league club based at Langlands Park, in the suburb of Coorparoo in Brisbane, Australia. Since 1996, they have competed in the Queensland Cup, having competed in the Brisbane Rugby League from 1934 to 1997, where they won eight premierships. The 2023 Queensland Cup season was the 28th season of Queensland's top-level statewide rugby league competition run by the Queensland Rugby League.
