Joe Adams (born January 4, 1944) is an American people, American politician. succeeding Rory Ellinger, as a member of the Missouri House of Representatives, from 2015 to 2019. He was succeeded by Maria Chappelle-Nadal for one term, then after she stepped down, was elected again to his old seat in 2020, taking office in 2021. He is a member of the Democratic Party. Joe Adams (born November 22, 1989) is a former American football wide receiver. He played college football for the University of Arkansas, and was recognized as a consensus All-American. He was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Early years Adams was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. Joe Edward "Old Wagon Tongue" Adams (October 28, 1877 – October 8, 1952) was a Major League Baseball player and minor league manager. He was also known as "Old Wagon Tongue." A 6'0" pitcher from Cowden, Illinois, Adams appeared in one game for the St. Louis Cardinals on April 26, 1902, at the age of 24. He pitched four innings and allowed nine hits. He also walked two players, hit another, and gave up six runs (four earned), resulting in a career ERA of 9.00. Adams also had two at-bats, but did not reach base either time. Adams also played semi-pro baseball in both Illinois and Iowa. He later served as a minor league manager, and in 1911 managed future Hall of Famer Ray Schalk in his first professional season with the Taylorville Christians. Joseph Adams ( 1700 – 29 September 1737) was a British-born Canadian chief factor of the Hudson's Bay Company. Biography Adams was born to William, a labourer, and Katherine Adams. He was baptized on 4 May 1700, in Woodford, Essex. His parish bound him on 1 June 1705, to serve the Hudson's Bay Company until he was 24. Around this time, Adams was sent to Fort Albany, where he received training and learned the Cree language. In 1722, Adams' pay was increased to £16 per year, retroactive to 11 September 1721. He spent the 1723–24 season in England due to health issues. When Adams returned to Fort Albany to continue working at the Hudson's Bay Company, he became Joseph Myatt's deputy from 1727 to Myatt's death on 9 June 1730, after when Adams took over Myatt's position as chief factor of the Hudson's Bay Company based at Fort Albany. Joseph Adams, F.L.S. (1756 – 20 June 1818) was a British physician and surgeon. Life Adams was born in 1756 to Joseph Adams (c. 1725-1783), an apothecary of Basinghall Street, London, and Susannah, daughter of Timothy Rogers. His father was a rigid dissenter who, because of his religious beliefs, would not allow his son to attend Oxford or Cambridge. He, however, received a good classical education and, having been apprenticed to his father, became a member of the Society of Apothecaries. He studied under Dr. Pitcairn and Mr. Pott at St Bartholomew’s, Dr. Saunders at Guy's, and Mr. John Hunter at St. George's hospitals.
