In the sport of association football, a defender is an outfield position whose primary role is to stop attacks during the game and prevent the opposition from scoring. Centre-backs are usually positioned in pairs, with one full-back on either side to their left and right, but can be played in threes with or without full-backs. Club YLA
Club YLA is Club Brugge's women's section. It was founded in 2000 as the women's division of KSV Jabbeke. In 2010 they started working together with Club Brugge as it was needed to cooperate with a male club in the highest division to become part of the Elite League for women. : History In 2012 they changed their name into Club Brugge Dames.
